LOL, NO

That's not the same at all.

You're monopolizing a commodity in a house, with 2 entrances, whose only sell point is inside.

Anyone.

And I mean ANYONE.

Can kill Nomads to get remains.

I have plenty on my Zoner, for example.

Not to mention that Nomad Remains are a tiny requirement of Cloaks.

Cryocubes are needed for basically everything in large numbers

Hey. Hey.

Use the communications board. Guess what? Kusari did.

Stop Q_Qing and stop RPing.

At least some people around here have a brain. Jammi, you restored my faith in humanity slightly.

Except the problem is that pretty much everyone other than Kusari lawful factions don't really have that option.
Bretonian lawfuls? Yeah, they're at war.
Rheinland lawfuls? They haven't much reason to be in Gallia, they're too far away.
Liberty lawfuls? Bretonian allies, so no dice.
Anyone unlawful? Yeah, Gallia won't want them there.

There's a pretty clear conflict of interest here. Friday chose to add cryocubes to the needed list, knowing that his faction was in a vastly better position to ship them to Sirius than just about everyone else.

' Wrote:The system is being designed such that all regions of space should have greater access to at least one commodity - conversely all factions should have a dependency on other regions for at least one commodity.
That would be a fantastic theory--so what does Gallia need to import for stations?

Oh, right.

Nothing.

Gallia has everything they need. There's no options for Sirius people to retailiate and blockade the other side of the Gallic minefields and say "No, Gallia, you can't have our XYZ until we get your cryocubes." That pretty severely limits the trading options because Gallia is now sitting on a gold mine and doesn't need anything from anyone else.

As pointed out above, anyone can blow up Nomads, and Nomads are found in quite a few places. There aren't two difficult-to-pass chokepoints preventing people from getting Nomad remains.

The other issue? The Kishiro annoucement didn't have any forum negotiation leading up to it. That means that any negotiation took place through skype deals or PMs, avenues that aren't available to everyone.

Gallia is the best-defended house in the game, with only two ways in or out. Smuggling? Hah.

Edit: Oh, now this is amusing. http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?sh...=122724&hl=

So Friday, who is in a position to be one of the only legal Sirius exporters from Gallia, designs the base system so that Gallic materials are required.

That's rich.

Yes, it is all a part of the Dev Conspiriceh. I admit it, i designed the ENTIRE SYSTEM just to make a profit from the resale of Cryocubes.

You are indeed correct - and it is something i would like to address. Fortunately the GRN accepted the offer from the Kusari government - and things did not escalate into an economic embargo.

The negotiations took place on Freeport 6, between 4.85 and 4.86. Kusari entry into Gallia is mandated by the 4.86 lore. The 100 million credit license fee is of course, little more than a bribe. Every House is guilty of pulling stunts like that!

You are also forgetting that Kishiro's main competitor - Samura - now has equal access to Gallia.

Police and foreign matters - dodike - 04-07-2012

Hire Han Solo to smuggle it or Rorry to pirate it from Samura/Kishiro.

I know it makes bases for non-Gallic/Kusari more costly.

Police and foreign matters - Linkus - 04-07-2012

Bretonian lawfuls will soon have a place they can buy from.
Ask Sir Jammi for moar details.

Dammit:(Han Solo outruns us.

We better hire him first:D

On the topic of conspiracies, there is none. GRP extorts everyone since GRN takes all thier funds.

Not like we care much, as long as we don't run into them.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, we have an admission of guilt! :P

Except that not everyone else knew that items exclusive to Gallia would be required for stations.

It makes no sense in lore (how did they build every existing station in Sirius if they didn't have cryocubes?), it harms RP by putting only one or two factions (GRN and GRP) in complete control of base construction. It's just another attempt to force Gallia on a player population that, overall, doesn't really want it.

That's nice.

What about the remaining 95% of the server?
