If they dont nerf solaris then this just means they are deleting faction turrets, since everybody will be using solaris tomorrow. Sucks for Rheinland and Bret etc, otherwise same DPS as basics now.

I'm going to take a guess and say Solaris will be nerfed along with the other prims, but cerbs are staying the same. They MIGHT go back down to 4400 HDPS like in .85 but otherwise they'll be the same.

I wont mind the DSP decrease, but I think removing zoom is a better option. To claim that to aim is "fighting interface" is dumb, if that is true, give fighters zoom too so they can have auto aim aswell. I have to hard a time "fighting the fighter interface" and need easier aim. kthx

A barely useful ship class for large scale combat will become totally useless.

Six-gunner GBs are still viewed as too powerful, hence the whole discussion. Heavier armed GBs are much slower than the smaller ones.

Gunboats are DESIGNED to kill Fighters, if anything I think the Heavy Weapons should be de-buffed and the rest of the guns left alone. If you lower the DPS for their regular guns, you destroy their purpose and you'll see every Pirate and two-bit terrorist fully equip Pulses and Razors because primaries wouldn't be worth the credits anymore.

Gbs have their golden days now. I am curious how they will do with nerfed dps.

I don't know whether it cures the problem of some Gbs being just overpowered. But at least it is easy to do (only some variables of guns need to be changed, I guess), while reducing the gun numbers of overpowered Gbs or restricting arcs etc would mean a lot more work for devs.

So... I guess we'll see.
Generally, everything that makes more ship types useful (hardly anybody pulse-razors, no one cerbs any more on Gbs) and the game more diverse is welcome.

A small suggestion from my part:

Make gunboat CDs face forward only.
That will allow some leeway for escape, thus lessening their use as an all purpose pirate vessel.
