Like my trader, I would not bother buy like 200 H-fuel and 4800 diamonds. And Cap-ships would require very much H-fuel. What it does do is make you plan to stop for fuel or have to solicit it from traders. Choices will be made over maximum bulk or maximum distance--but the difference in bulk should be small. Let me explain: You can fly with your cruise engine, as long as you have some H-fuel. When you run out of fuel you will only be abled to fly with your thrusters or slower. If it isn't implemented in game mechanics I see it being highly problematic and unreasonable regardless of RP value it may have. Keep in mind, there is roleplay and there is game mechanics, not necessarily one follows the other closely, nor it's any good if they actually were. Thank you everyone - Guyton - 06-08-2008 The computers use H-fuel only on cruiser and battleship class ships nothing with gunboats or fighters. -Cruisers carry around 20 H-fuel, Battleships only 50 H-fuel. We often do H-fuel runs to places like Liberty, but its not clear where places like Bretonia get theirs since Kusari holds the monoply on H-fuel given to them by the GMG. -Price would depend where you are in Sirius. -Bretonian ships should require lesser H-fuel to run seeing as the war with Kusari would make them rethink on fuel using methods. -Kusari ships would require more seeing as price is lesser and fuel isn't a big deal. -Liberty ships would have a fair amount within cargo. -Rheinland ships would be a little lesser than Liberty due to the 80 Years War their H-fuel wouldn't come in as good. - Seeing as we are GMG, why would we need to buy H-fuel when we produce it? Thank you everyone - ScornStar - 06-08-2008 Britonia has MOX. Liberty can buy thiers from Kusari and Britonia can buy thiers from Rhineland. Pirates steal it. Zoners trade for it. Some people may deliver it. THier could even be player refuel rally point and escorts for those. Think like a group of Corsairs attacking Omicron Alpha. THose guys would have to pack a cap ship to top off fighter right be fore the final approach and it would make the cap ship thier ticket home even if they did win. It would make fighters as in need of caps and frieghters as they should be for long range operations. ( just an example) Fighters should have limited range with out support craft. Caps become an even more juicy target for everyone. I would sell a couple peoples souls for this to be added. |
