Shame that it there was only scorpion there and more snubs. Anyway, it was a nice fight.
But one doesn't simply go to hell alone.

Feedback, huh?
Well, I don't complain about large targets, so you're fine on that point. It gives me opportunity to practice my 2.00 and 3.03 weapon sets out on things I like to shoot at them with. Mainly large, slow, easy to hit bombers.
I admit that I find some of your RP sketch, like hooking up with RM funding and talking Hellfire into not shooting you. That's just my notion and expectations though. Enemy of my enemy and all of that. If [LN] were to do something with [RHA] I'd guess it'd be pretty similar.

Now this, this I have objection to. In fact, I think it's a poor goal for a multitude of reasons.
Your objection to LNS appears to be what, that people want large ships and they don't know how to RP with them properly? That small ships are inherently superior, and thus everyone needs to fly those instead? That your brand of RP works and theirs doesn't?
If it's the first item, wouldn't you be better off setting an example? You seem to have time, why not set up your own "fleet" of LNS ships and set a proper example? Then get people to join with you and work on whatever you think would help others out with interactions. Be the example that you want others to be like.
If it's the second example, the solution would be the same. Same for the third. You had the chance to be whatever example you wanted to be. You chose to "powergame".
What do I mean by that? I mean that you chose to take a route to force others to comply with your notion of RP. In fact, you expressly state as much.

Be an example, or attack people. Hmm.
To the average LNS, what makes you different from any other enemy out there? You swarm out of nowhere, attack them with Novas, and then either kill them or get driven off. You expect what change to occur because of this?
In fact, I doubt they even know why there's another group out there after them. I'm not aware of you informing them either. How many people that you attack you think actually read your info page here? Probably not that many. So they have even less of a clue than before and another set of Rogue IFFed enemies. You expect what change to occur because of this?
Finally, I find your pretense immensely arrogant. You're going to "force" people to change their RP by killing their ship over and over again? Talk about trying to "powergame" an RP. How exactly does logging a bunch of people, /l1ing /l2ing your targets, and spamming Novas "force" anyone to do anything different? Are they going to magically understand the purpose of your attacks? What you do is no different than any other of the LNS' enemies. You expect what change to occur because of this?
People spend hours making money to buy the big shiny ship that they want to fly. If they wanted to fly a smaller ship, they would. You had, and still have if you want it, the chance to set an example by operating superior LNS vessels. Why don't you give it a go? Perhaps you'll see the change you're looking for if you do.
RE: The Torpedoes. Feedback, recruitment, image dump. - sindroms - 01-26-2013
I really think you are overexaggerating, because the purpose of the group is "Fly with friends and shoot red and have fun."
But your questions and examples are valid, just let me get home and I will reply in detail.

True, the RP behind the group is rather sketch, but that is a common problem with any group that was not meant to be founded on a few threads of paragraph extensive RP and history.
The torpedoes started with me and Raul making two bombers to troll a good friend of ours, who has an LNS. Mind you, we do have LNSs of our own. Also, it should be noted that half of the Torpedoes are just LNS peeps wanting to make fun of their friends and day to day flying buddies.
The whole RP ties were just that. RP ties. Attempt on adding some RP for the peeps, who joined the group seeking something new. The reason we chose the RM and HF instead of, say, LH or LR-, was just because of the fun of it. Noone is doing it and it can lead to fun results. The LR-, for example, are pro LN when it comes to RNC raids. We are the opposite. The Rogues as an NPC faction allows such diverse ideas and I am going to take full advantage of it.

Mind you, it says Liberty Navy as a NPC faction, not LN players. Just something to keep in mind during the rest of the post.

No, in fact, I like LNS and I like caps. There are a lot of LNS who can RP well and a lot who barely can RP but are damn fun people to hang around with. I would not base the purpose of a group as well as the targets they make out of a person's level of RP.
If it's the first item, wouldn't you be better off setting an example? You seem to have time, why not set up your own "fleet" of LNS ships and set a proper example? One of the issues is that I do not, in fact, have time. Ask any torpedo member just how many raids I am actually on. This is also related to the fact that I find LNS RP rather boring. I can either sit in front of Manhattan and wait till something happens or get raped by cloakturtles. (I suppose, this is a good time to note that I had one myself). I just found the Rogues more fun to make a group in, rather than trying to poke around the navy.
I think what you are mistaking is that this group has an OORP agenda against LN players. No, it does not. That is like saying that OCs have an OORP agenda against Corsairs. Or that the LNS have an OORP agenda against RNC. I just took one aspect of a faction's RP, in this case, conflict between LR and LN and focused on it. People find it fun, so....yeah. One of the reason it is still alive.
If it's the second example, the solution would be the same. Same for the third. You had the chance to be whatever example you wanted to be. You chose to "powergame".

Again, sorry for repeating myself, but that would mean that every NPC group which has an enemy are powergaming against the other. Nomads powergaming everyone, LN powergaming RM, RM powergaming RHA. The reason of the faction is not to somehow change the opposing side's RP. For one thing, it is physically impossible. We are not online 24/7 and I am pretty sure that one blue message or two will not stop a person flying a ship they have spent on weeks of trading on.

Again, you are mixing RP with OORP. The RP reason is to make LNS use smaller ships. If I would state specifically LNS PLAYERS, then this accusation would be justified.
In fact, I doubt they even know why there's another group out there after them. Because rogues are hostile to them? I'm not aware of you informing them either. How many people that you attack you think actually read your info page here? Probably not that many. So they have even less of a clue than before and another set of Rogue IFFed enemies. Of course they won't.That is why it is impossible to FORCE someone to change their RP. So again, that is not the reason of the Torpedoes. We are not here to force anyone to RP like we want them to, I am sure other official factions can manage that on their own (osnap). As for /l1 and /l2, I am sure you do understand that every faction there is uses it. Especially when you are already targeted by snubs and you are trying to get a line or two in so you can start firing as well.
How many LNS and LN indies use preset messages. I was sure that we were long over even taking preset messages into account when it comes to PVP.
People spend hours making money to buy the big shiny ship that they want to fly. If they wanted to fly a smaller ship, they would. Apart from the fact that I do myself have an LNS and an LN guardian, I do not really think there is no need to improve anything. Just like I am not here to force someone into hanging their RP, I am sure others are not here to listen to advice, example or, as you put it, give into pressure from outside groups.
I hope this answers some of your questions.
RE: The Torpedoes. Feedback, recruitment, image dump. - sindroms - 01-26-2013
A little bump here. I am not surprised that others may think that the group has an agenda or something, what with the very narrow goal list and all, but I did not consider that other players might consider this as an "Fly what we want or die" sort of attempt.
Not only I do not think it is actually possible in the first place, but this is not what the group is about.
