Well....I've heard Lukes story and I've met Luke before, he probably doesn't remember me but he's a cool guy. I'm totally on Luke's side. You got all my support dude. And as for summer. Well I am ashamed. There could have ATLEAST been some some bloody roleplay. But Summer just crossed the line. Maybe he shoulda stayed in Portugal longer.

Meh...I'd just say quash the trial by forum before it goes kaboom.
There's a reason peeps don't quote skype convos, name names, etc. It just creates bad blood between players when it should be between characters.
I think the original poster should have addressed the issue at hand:
Blowing up other people's bases without giving them a chance to rp things out.
If the rp leads to the destruction, cool. That's what rp is all about.
Stop, and think about the people behind the characters. Give them a chance to explain.
Don't just go "oops teehee I R AUTHORITAI!1!1!!11! u pay 300 mills"
RP should be about give and take, so both parties have fun, or am I off my rocker here?

Several bases in the past have been blown up without warning, or without notifying the person it was going to be destroyed, what makes you so different? Nothing.
So stop crying about a problem that is already passed. Or if you are, do it inRP, not this OORP bellyaching which makes you look like a spoiled child.

The same thing can be said for a ship, SMG. I think what's essentially being asked is, do bases fall under the "Must RP before pews" rule or not. They are player built objects, but not player controlled objects. They do not honor that rule themselves, but it takes such a large force to take one out, that an effort to do so has to be coordinated.

Using a password that was given by a player who trusted you in order to destroy his base is the biggest dick move I have seen in a very long time. I am disappointed in those who made that plan, executed it and now claim it is legitmate House roleplay.

Something tells me someone is being made into a villian and they aren't.
The rules need addressed, not specific situations.
Until the rules change these things will continue to happen and people will continue to leave the server.

Seems like a lot of people here arguing about "prior warnings" are missing the point.
A warning from the BPA side would effectively be "we're questioning the legitimacy of your base, please stock up on MOX and change all the passwords"
Do you not understand, that a Core 4 base with weapon platforms and enough fuel is invulnerable?
It's not an issue of "fair RP". It's an issue of "The BPA should have the right and power to remove a base in Bretonian space, but if prior warning were given, game mechanics would make this impossible".
This isn't poor RP, it's how player bases work at the moment.
If it were actually possible to remove a base like that by force without a week-long continuous siege, I'm sure they would have contacted the owners before that.

Then get rid of POB's, because the justification for someone to come in and ruin hundreds of hours of teamwork because the station shot a single trader is ludacris.

Bretonia is not Kusari that allows a base to just set up and shoot whoever it wants. You were not permitted to build weapons platforms with Core IFFs, you were told this, you did it anyway, and it shot anyone who had bad core rep, this is illegal, as is clearly stated in the laws of Bretonia.
BPA took quick action and destroyed your offending base, good work chaps.
EDIT @ accusations: Using the password was totally INRP, BPA demands passwords from base builders for exactly this reason, giving him lots of warning it was gonna be shot would have just - as others have said - caused him to change the password. You dont warn a crackhouse before you raid it, same principle here. And as for those saying "there was no RP before hand, there was, the base had shot people, and they had complained to the bpa - RP. If your saying it should be treated in the same way as a ship - which plenty of other bases havnt been, your not complainign about that, simply this one because it was done so well - then the base shot first with "no RP" anyway.
