Dear Mr Walker

Thank you for bringing this incident to the attention of Legal Services.

We have accordingly raised a requisition form for a writ of execution to be issued in the name of the Xeno Alliance pilot who accosted you. Given the lack of actual damages incurred, we have currently prioritised this individual as 'low' with a level 1 bounty being issued. You are also authorised to raise your own personal bounty, should you so wish to do so.

As a matter of company procedure, please can any future incidents of piracy or terrorism be reported on this frequency so the appropriate paperwork can be filed with the Bowex Escort and Bounty Reward Centre. This will enable the Company to take appropriate actions to dissuade such future conduct.

Yours sincerely

On behalf of Dame Audry Altman
The Office of the Assistant Director of Legal Services

It must be said, today has been in equal parts tedious and invigorating. You number-monkeys have been incessantly hounding me about 'timeliness' for days now, so I had Gregory move that shipment of luxury food from Cambridge to New Berlin. From there, a connecting shipment of Rhienlandic 'beverage' (to use the term loosely) was consigned for Liberty. Regrettably this meant traversing the Hamburg system. Awful place. I could feel the oppressive aura of the unemployed from the best part of a lightyear away. Horrendous.

In any event, things took a turn for the better once we reached New York and met the captain of the OSC|Tahiti. Honestly, Gregory makes for such diabolically insipid conversation that I had half a mind to step out an airlock. Yes, Gregory, I'm sure "plasmaball" is a very noble sport, and the "Glasgow Ghosts" are very interesting. Please refrain from explaining how, and reserve such fascinating details for your fellow gutter-snipes. The Tahiti, on the other hand, was helmed by a Marcel Dumas, who appeared to be a gentleman of breeding and standards.

It was ultimately determined that agreeing a verbal avant-courier contractual relationship would be a proper manner in which to proceed. I was happy to help see Dumas and his passengers safely to Shikoku in exchange for modest reparation. That went swimmingly enough (it is a rather pretty place for a holiday), and the quality of conversation rather leavened the mundanity of my day. It was, regrettably, post-completion that matters took a turn for the perturbing. Some strange fellow by name of 'Sin' was nattering over system comms, talking all kinds of nonsense in religious terms. Then the little blighter encountered me outside of Deshima Station and rather tried to do me in! Dreadful!

The lunatic rather dented up the Davenport, but under my skilled direction, Gregory eventually succeeded in eloping down a trade lane. After that, we saw nothing more of the unpleasant little urchin, so I am happy to draw a line under the whole sorry affair. From there, it was a long journey home through the Taus with Juno Fire Pearls for New London. The route back would have been dreadfully tiresome, but things were kept lively enough by Ms Caitlyn Cross of the OS&C|TE~Red~Velvet~Club, who appears to run this particular branch of OS&C. After escorting her so far as Cambridge, I took my leave and returned home, where I now sit writing this report. I shall end the matter here before I start narrating my narration at which point things would become rather recursive and silly.

Addendum prepared by helmsman Greg Smith Wrote:I am formally logging concerns about Captain Bickerton's declarations of interests and handling of company funds and assets. The OSC Tahiti paid Captain Bickerton a retainer of $15,000,000 for services rendered, as well as a personal gift of luxury vintage Gallic Wine that exceeded the declarable threshold defined in the Bowex gifts and hospitality policy. I dispute Captain Bickerton's description of payments received as 'modest' and believe there is a plausible suspicion that the full value of any such payment has not been properly declared to our corporate Finances and Income auditors.

Topic: Concerns regarding inappropriate Daumann affiliations

Message Contents:

I feel compelled to submit this report in order to raise serious concerns about the associations of Daumann Heavy Construction, as witnessed by myself the day prior. Leicester asked me to order Gregory to pop down to Omega 7, as the Rheinlanders had put out a call seeking assistance from stout Bretonian roundsmen of repute. While I would hardly assign Gregroy such accolades, he is all I had to hand; thusly we were forced to make do, prosaic piloting or not. When I arrived, a convoy was assembling in the "Furstenfelde Cloud" in order to load on Silver Ore for export to the Colorado System in Liberty.

It was at this point that circumstances transpired to bring to my attention Daumann's shocking and unsavoury associations with ne'er-do-wells, scoffalaw scoundrels and feckless fainéants. I of course refer to their disgraceful partnership with Gateway Shipping. The GSV Panama was loading cargo when I arrived on the scene, practically damaging the Davenport's resale value through mere proximity. The fact that Daumann would willingly associate with such delinquent dullards boggles the mind. If they are going to make the eminently correctly decision to do business with Bretonian companies, they should at least have the wherewithal to exclusively pick the correct one!

Positively bristling at the afront, I made sure that the Gateway chap(ette?) received a piece of my mind, and I dare say we came off the better from the exchange. In any event, the Daumann fellows requested that we take point with the rest of their security echelon in order to scout the route. There was some nonsense with a few Unioner ships, but we got to Colorado eventually. It did seem to be a fairly... unconventional(?) route? I'm sure the Daumann fellows knew what they were doing, but it did rather involve a number too many asteroid fields and jump holes for my comfort. Ultimately, our assistance to their security element paid for the ore, leaving us with a pure profit.

In conclusion, we should probably do something about this Gateway rabble getting their hooks into the Rhienlandic market. It's bad enough having to tolerate them in New London, let alone elsewhere too.

RE: The *Redacted* contract

Good morning all,

Well this is getting tough.

I was taking the Pennsylvania route to Kansas, skirting the wide edge of the Meadville field... looking to avoid any possible dangers nearby. I must have been too close to a pirate route though as I picked up what I suspect was a Xeno vessel, tagged "wreck.". Probably dodgy credentials but I couldn't confirm as missiles and the cursing of Bretonia had me busy high tailing it through the asteroid field towards the Jump hole. Weaving around ice rocks at cruise speed, I managed to bury those missiles into nearby ice and made it through to Kansas.

I knew it wasn't over yet though.... I still had 30k or so to *Redacted* and that ship was hot on my heels.

20k left and they were gaining, less than 4k away... I wasn't going to make it... I had to do something... drastic.

I activated the cloaking device. I was only carrying 30 seconds worth of batteries but I had to buy some time. Damned batteries take up so much precious cargo space but now I was regretting not buying more. The computer warned me of the impending danger as her shield dropped and the cloaking engine started to hum. The cursing of my very existence coming from the communications panel muffled by the sound of my own beating heart as I counted the seconds under my breath until the cloaking field finally generated and that glorious vibrating hum that indicated that I now had at least 30 more seconds to live.

I had reached the outer orbit of *Redacted* when that cloaking field kicked in but my destination was right on the other side. More than 30 seconds away even at cruise speed. I just had to hope I could get enough distance between wreck. and myself to make it to *Redacted*.

The cloaking field dropped 5k out....

My pursuer was 3k away...

"Incoming Missile"...

Thunk!

"Cruise engines offline"...

I kicked in the thrusters and call through the emergency channels to the docking crew of *Redacted* for emergency clearance and assistance. Thankfully they were expecting me and fast tracked me for docking. I afterburned my ship right up to that dock knowing full well all the ways speed docking can go wrong but I decided some minor repairs and a bribe gift to the docking master was a far better option than being turned into salvage.

Now I'm just sitting in the station's bar, sipping a very expensive and well earned whiskey while I wait for the now smiling docking master to unload the cargo and fit my ship with some much needed extra batteries, all the while wondering if my mystery pursuer imploded in a fit of anti-bretonian curses and disappointment. Just another day at the office.

Safe flying,

Lore,
Bowex)Aeolus.

This event is taking some captains of transport ships to the height of going almost to burnout to earn the profits that can be collected for the coffers of each ship.

This will certainly benefit every worker in each ship with better quality of life and in particular a considerable increase in dividends when they take their wages to their families.

It is no different in the Bowex Corporation that has been actively participating. (This report refers to the Bowex ship) Bar.Nuit)

The Bowex workers' family is grateful.

Absolutely chuffed with how the boys performed today. I expect to see some knackered faces in the morning after they get a bit trollied, but they earned it. Best not be narky in the morn, I told them. Inventory log enclosed for management review. Quartermaster should be able to verify the shipment amounts as gutted as he was every time the Enfield docked with something more.

Cheerio.

Very little to report on my latest haul. We stopped off at Scarborough to take supplies to Rheinland in the Munich sector. My ship was stopped in the Omega's by a Corsair named Medina. Almagro. I paid her 5 million credits to be on his way, bloody pirates. Once we got to Munich, I stocked up on some alloys to bring back home to Scarborough. The trip home was uneventful and we managed to make a nice profit for my crew and the share holders.

There has been much activity with the new demand of Luxury Consumer Goods to Kusari at Planet Honshu. I have used that run to make extra cash and to return for local Bretonian bases that needed supplies that I set up as an independent contract. This is going to make for some great cash. Not to mention the good will for Bowex and the local ore vendors.
