Angel Message Dump - n00bl3t - 12-15-2010 Pulled a long shift. Helped someone with confusion about a rule violation, guard ID's came up slightly and loadout advice. Greeted everyone else mostly. Then things went to pot with OOC chatter spouting. Tried to warn people against using it and to curb it down. Some listened. Some did not. Called in Dieter. That was about it. Angel Message Dump - Yuki - 12-15-2010 ' Wrote:[color=#FFFFFF]You're such a trull Josh.. Anyway, since i have some spare time on my hands, here's what i've been doing
Angel Message Dump - Miranda - 12-15-2010 Pulled a shift tonight, helped a new player learn about mining and trading, and showed another to the forums. Also, based off my observations, it seems too few new players know about the /restart commands, Im trying to teach them as best as possible Angel Message Dump - LEGION3592 - 12-15-2010 Hmmm... Probably should post what I've been doing before someone assumes my angel is drinking Gallic wine in a bar somewhere. Explained to a newbie how to send cash to another player, taught them how to RP engagements properly and explained how to create and file a sanction report. Luis knows all about this one.... Was asked by a player to change his name, explained to him I could not do that, then told him he would be able to after 1 week from his previous rename. Informed a confused player to the lack of a council gaurd ID, explained that the regular ID was sufficient. Explained to a player how to sell ships on the forums. Found out they were a returning player from 4.84, gave them information about good mining and trading routes to avoid them having to sell a BHG tagged cruiser to make up lost credits from inactivity. Assisted in getting them into a recruit position in a mining group. Explained to a player who killed my angel the rules he had broken and how to avoid doing so again (under level kill, no engagement message, killing an angel vessel) Gave a player a basic tutorial about mining (locations, ships, id's, bonus, miner RP, dealing with pirates etc) Informed this same player of a few very profitable trade routes. Gave a tutorial about pimp my ship, linked them to the forum tutorials about it. Talked about unique lights such as the nomad core, lightning storm effect, and energy shield. Diffused a situation where a bretonian privateer pirated a miner. Calmed both sides down and sorted out the issue. Informed one of a few broken rules and explained the details of one of the ID's and its relation to systems. Assisted a few players in earning some credits for a first transport (small donation to each as well) Explained the difference between InRP and OORP Retaliation to a small group of people. Helped a liberty player find the sale location of the Navy Gaurd ID. Finally, for this report, explained to a player that he could not swap real cash for large amounts of game credits via the forums. More to come soon.:D Angel Message Dump - Anonymous User - 12-16-2010 [color=#FFFFFF] Tomorrow my Angel-trial will end. Cuz' RL stuff I will be not able to make another shift within this time. A little summary: It was more fun than I thought to help all those people. Sometimes it was hard to help them all when a dozen people contact you at the same time. It was interesting how different they talk with you when you have an Angel tagged char. I helped a lot before I got this chance but NEVER the people where so polite. It is also interesting how different the requests where. From simple ingame questions like "how to find XY" to modding- rule- RP- Charrestore- Equip.transfer-questions and much more. Also thankyou for the donations from some fellas I was able to collect for the angels. So... no matter if I get accepted or not it was the time worth. I did not only teach stuff to other people. I also learned a lot myself. Thankya' all Mario out. Angel Message Dump - Penpen - 12-16-2010 Went out on yet another stroll. The plan was to first visit Pennsylvania, Dublin afterwards and then pick either Alpha or Minor. Unfortunately I didn't make it out of Pennsylvania. One player, not able to speak english, and his "Mastodon" transport caused quite a headache. Trying to tell him that his IFF and ID didn't match was perhaps the worst descision i've met so far. however, it "just" took me 45minutes and I guess he got it and went for a fitting IFF. However, it ruined my plans and I went to minor, where I met a player that should've been banned. Thankfully a russian speaking player was around and we had that situation covered. Reminds me to yet tell an admin that said account was not banned. ~Penpen Angel Message Dump - Penpen - 12-18-2010 Yet another report. My little buddy in his Mastodon is back. Now, instead of Zoner IFF and DSE ID he was flying a Police ID and Zoner IFF. I really hope my helping hand worked this time and he understood what I wanted him to do. Because i actually don't feel like trying a fourth time. Besides that, it was rather quiet. Rookies asking for "where to buy stuff", redirected several to the wiki. Showed one where the LN Guard system was. Had two Camaras with 3 IDs mounted. No clue how that happened but we got it fixed. That is all for now, most likely more, later. Angel Message Dump - Penpen - 12-20-2010 Ah well.. Weekends. And I just wanted to get out of New-York once. Well, I failed again but yet i call it a very successfull day. So first i had this Camara Pilot with his Ageira ID and BH weaponry. After a long talk and trying to figure out what he could use, we just bought him a bigger ship with Train Turrets. He was so happy... Afterwards I had that player who strictly denied to answer. He had no ID mounted and so I tried and tried.. then an LSF came by (thanks by the way, for playing along) and we tried and tried.. almost an hour later he engaged the LSF Pilot and was killed pretty quick. So sad. Well, at least we tried. (german, french, russian) Then we had that annoying little Sabre Pilot with his Merc ID and Bundschuh guns. Some IC| Player helped him along to get Purple Godess' from Coronado. Unfortunately he came back afterwards and started firing at me. You'll never hit the camera ship! Ye raged a little and left. Guess he'll never learn how to RP. Had some small problems aswell. LN ID and Rogue weapons, No IDs, "how to rp" and stuff like that. The most interesting part was a player who asked about ID usage. He wanted to play a Rheinlander that was only after Libertonian Transports in Liberty and Rheinland, just to create a (economic war) as he said. I was looking for the fitting ID as he didn't want to mount a Pirate ID. After some time we went with the "MND ID". Though I will have to keep an eye on him so he won't abuse it. That's it for today. ~Penpen Angel Message Dump - Anonymous User - 12-21-2010 ![]() First idled around in NY a bit with "space" Later visited alpha, gamma, minor and dublin. Answered some game and forum related questions. Mario out. Angel Message Dump - Error - 12-21-2010 Done two 45-minute shifts the last two days plus a couple of longer ones earlier in the week since my last report. (will post reports/screenshot .zips later) On the two 45-minute shifts I really did literally nothing: There wasn't a single help request during those 45 minutes. Not very interesting shifts, in other words. Edit: Just did another 45-minute shift. Helped one person fix some IFF issues on the request of angel Penpen, and helped two people with renaming and one with group invites, plus one that I reminded not to use smilies in system chat. |
