RE: 5th Fleet - Feedback - Egon Bigmemes - 12-25-2020

There's an old thread in this subforum started by Athenian, pinned to the top.

Quote:3) Poor in-game behaviour, characterised by repeated incidents which are harmful to server gameplay, and not merely once-off incidents or the exercise of tactical advantage, such as outnumbering, outgunning or outthinking an opponent.

in nicer words, feedback isn't for whining about being outnumbered or outgunned, or as we call it, being ganked, unless it's in an incredibly harmful way that's driving people off of the server, such as dogpiling them whenever they undock from a base

go away

If you imply that I'm the one whining, please then explain how is the rest of your post(EDIT: which I agree with) relevant to the substance of my feedback.
If you're not, please clarify it, because it's rather ambivalent.

Ice Princess mentioned earlier that the issue was dealt with, which to my ears sounds like an acknowledgment that my feedback was to some degree constructive.
And I'm thankful for that response.

It's Christmas day. Go away and do something fun.

Kudos to 5th fleet for respecting a 2 v 2 yesterday. Apologies for the shield running - I had abysmal ping here and had to get a bit creative. It was a fun fight and you guys comported yourself very well. One of your guys even left combat when the LN jumped in - that's formidably good gameplay form and I'll always sing the praises of any lawful who gives unlawful a fair shake. Good work, chaps.

Thank you, 5th.

I must say, after the nice pleasent but sadly short encounter with the players,Piloting the 5th|LNS-Alabama and 5th|LNS-Vincennes a few days ago where the attempt of RP was sadly interrupted by a =LSF= Cruiser in Cortez, today was the rather opposite in Coronado.

Not even trying to communicate but only on the hunt for blue messages by the players of 5th|Nicole.Prower and 5th|Charlotte,Wilkes. I can't prove it if the Bounty Hunter who already engaged and kept me CD'ed in Coronado was accociated to one of those players or not,as well as the suddenly appearing BAF Players.

I hope next time the RP and more pleasant Part is there again.

RE: 5th Fleet - Feedback - Tenshi - 08-26-2021

Let's get to both incidents one by one.

1) I assume that in the first incident you are referring to the time when you came to New York on a capital ship (cannot remember size, probably BC), and you were pleased that I didn't /l1 /l2 you on sight. I hope you are aware that is a certain degree of roleplay that makes sense without it seeming like an ooRP thing, and I also hope that you are aware (because I certainly am) that not engaging you on sight was a very ooRP move by me back then. A Coalition Battlecruiser inside Liberty Space is not something you speak with or negotiate with, it's something you shoot down.

2) Very similarly to the first incident, your BC was spotted in the vicinity of Curacao at the Cortez system (from what I was told - I wasn't there to see it for myself and I haven't been given any chat logs) and two members of the fleet engaged you. You are a foreign capital ship of an organization that is considered highly hostile to Liberty. The proper way to roleplay such an interaction is to either force you to move out (which in itself is a stretch too and shouldn't be happening) or forcefully destroy you.

There are certain factions that are not meant to have friendly chatters with each other. In the same way you don't expect the Navy to casually hang out with an OC/IN/K'Hara ship, you also don't expect the Navy to hang out with a Coalition ship. You are shoot-on-sight targets and your best bet to get some roleplay is most certainly not on a warship and most certainly not around your enemies.

Alright so as I told you already in Discord, for everyone here to read:

1) Your assumption are wrong.I don't refere to that engagment,as I said,it was completly my faul and I don't blame anyone for that but me.

2) Yes I was spottet as I actively moved towards the PvE Battlefield where the two 5th Ships were. Taking damage from the NPC,I moved to Coronado for repairs and returned afterwards, then we did some RP without any shooting from 5th side, such as I mentioned but the =LSF= Cruiser. The logs for that are:

and now to that incident. As I told you, too. The hunter intercepted me directly at the Jumphole when I was already lined up for docking and jumping. Then he kept CD'ing me within CORONADO ,where the fight also took place.

I even dropped the line about the encounter of the two above mentioned 5th Captial ships in the hope to make an RP Attempt by giving them something interesting.

This Post is just to clarify that you took it wrong Tenshi and put the things in the wrong relation. As I told you in Discord already: Coronado is two jumps away from any Liberty House System and is not claimed by Liberty so I took it save for RP without opposing a threat to Liberty at all. Maybe next time it will be a better encounter.

Hello.

Reminder that the LSF, contrary to what most believe, answers only to the President. Some are still unable to grasp this and it leads to unfortunate events such as this last one in New York where we've been forced to shoot down a transport for refusing to provide information. Yelling "contact gov" or "contact hc" will not help change the situation either, as unfortunate as it may be.

Please discuss this to the members to avoid other potential issues. We do not want to hunt down ships "just because", but we're doing the security checks as part of our roleplay as an intelligence faction.

Thank you.
