People, you can RP researcher on any ship. You don't need dedicated ship that could be otherwise used in wider spectre.
That's Kinda the point. It would be a great ship for mercenaries, indy bounty hunters, smugglers, or privateers to fly as well as researchers.

I use the corvo as a zoner and it is a very good RP ship much much better than fearless in my eyes sure its not as great in combat but packs a punch when needed. I think it should stay the same or made into a zoner/Researcher id (with restrictions) ship if mercs want a cruiser go the the BHG its kinda what they do...a sole merc shouldn't be able to afford a cruiser

To be fair, Fearless is only slightly less of a useless brick when compared to the Juggernaut.

I used to roleplay a Perilous Gunboat, a Taureau Battletransport and a Tarvos Freighter as science vessels in the past (and my Fearless Destroyer as a tradeship). Where is your god now?

Teach me master the ways of RPing a destroyer as a trade ship .. cause that's something new for me ^^
But really, the thing is, if people see a cruiser class ship, all they can think of is "Oi! Warship! " making the corvo not so useful... especially cause it's pretty much Zoner only ...
The best idea of reusing the ship is Tenacitys idea so far

I see no reason in restricting ships. I mean, sure lawful would be more concerned who will fly ship, but pirates? They pirate. They can do whatever they want, so why not allow unlawfuls to fly any ship they want, let's say, it was captured? Or bought on a black market?

Know it's been a month, but...okay.
I agree with this idea. The fact that a research vessel packs cruiser weapons is a little weird.
Please make this change ASAP.
