Quote:3.2 A player who was killed during a PvP fight in any form, must not enter the system where the fight took place or re-engage the attacker(s) for 2 hours from the time of their destruction, or until this/these ship(s) leave(s) the game. Quote:(...) leave(s) the game. There was a green on the forums regarding this matter. But it got wiped out alongside with forum rollback. What I wrote is completely legit, so if you don't believe me - ask admins. It left the game, there's no big philosophy behind it. A cost should be incurred when a player chooses to avoid interaction with others. Either a cost in time, if they choose to smuggle/trade above plane, or a cost in credits if they choose to cloak. You want a greater chance of getting your cargo to its destination, or you simply want to go for a tactical advantage of getting away from someone? Great! You may do so, for a moderate fee. But isn't the moderate fee covered by paying for the cloak in the first place its not like they are as cheap as most armour. Plus there is people who use their cloaks in order to RP with people eg. I use my cloaks to get through Jump gates without taking damage or past hostile stations in order to be able to RP with someone. If the price of cloak batteries went to far up that would just mean I sell my cloaks and have less people to RP with. Eventually buys "cool" ship.Even while trading you can have fun some of the best RP i've had has been on my transports. I'm sorry if I'm missing something but how is cloaked piracy that different to normal piracy? You still have to uncloak if you intend on firing and its not like snubs stay cloaked for long enough to extort credits anyway. I think if everyone used their cloaks to look for opportunities to RP with others, this thread wouldn't exist. If they are lucky someone might flick them a few million credits to get started (or are those days gone now? I don't know) Rich players are just older players who already went through all these steps poor new players are just about to begin. The only disadvantages new players have is their lack of time spent in-game in the past to earn their wealth, they however have all the advantages the current system got better than previous incarnations through improvement, stuff like restarts, new ships, routes, bases, commodity buffs, a lot of things older players didn't have when they were new.
