Well, @sindroms , I remember your deeds when you were part of the DPC, too.
And although I think Gamergirl overacts a bit, she does have a point that your actions in the past should not be forgotten.
On the other hand, you have also that other side of the "Spazzy-coin", creating activity, tutorials, pointing at certain things that need to be fixed (after using them as best as possible), and some other stuff.
I will not go ballistic about the admin team's decision, but I will remain sceptical about them declaring you as admin.
You have some serious responsibility now , and the rest of us players will have to deal with this and keep an eye on you for sure. Well, prove those of us, who disagree with this decision that they are wrong.
That's all I will say about.

First of all congratz @sindroms . I believe that you'll be a good admin.
Second. I know Spazzy for a long time. Sure what he did in the past was bad, hey we all did it, but he also did a lot of great things and he is doing great things now. The thing is, people change and you guys should for once try to be optimistic. Going with attitude that he's gonna be a terrible admin maybe abuse his power is ... bad and from my point of view it's because of jealousy (?). I just have that feeling. So try to be positive.
I would also like to say a few things about ex-official Rogues - The Torpedoes.
I wasn't in the tagged torps, but I was flying my indie Rogue bomber with them. Every time Spazzy says " hey guys, log torpedoes ", people immediately log and they're having fun. What does that mean? Well good initiator and a good leader, he made people log ( not by force tho ). That he is a good initiator proved those events, people were logging and they had fun. Being an admin will help him and us.
And to you guys that are not agreeing with this decision, I'd say - be positive.

I am actually pleasantly surprised that all of the people who were around for the cap8 and DPC thing are still present on Disco. I am glad that many people here know what kind of frackery I was a part of in the past. And not just the DPC, but all the subsequent stupidity from my side.
I am glad that this thread turned out to be filled with concerns about this decision. It means that I actually have something to prove in this position. That this is not as clear cut as "Well, of course he got admin, he has the youtube and tutorial and event thing going". It means that that alone is not going to be enough and it is a good thing.
For those of you who came out to shake your fist at me, hold that thought. I am very much inclined to prove you wrong.
And I promise I will keep server-crashing mistakes to a minimum.
If anything, I also hope you realize that this is the point where I simply cannot go back to my regular nonsense. This position is an ultimatum as well. It is something that I was explained to -quite- well.
And you know what? I am up for that challenge.

I find it kind of funny how there was literally no trace of you for months, and you magically come back to completely disagree with spazzy and his position.
How about you give the guy the benefit of the doubt and let him prove himself? There are certainly worse individuals that have been perma'd, and are around today that could certainly be worse choices.
