Erik your problem is your skill
Under therm "the skill" I mean your handling with ship and seting your ship.
Sair gunboat have [color=#cc0000]8 guns which is 1-3 more than rest of aviable (for all) gunboats and it have tinny profile from front and back side. Average pilot in lunchbox is unbeatable if he didnt meet more skilled pilot or better ship (well Rheinland or kusari GBs are better). Only real disadvantage of sair lunchbox is slow turning but with anticap settup ans guns mouted in right slots you even doesnt need to turn you ship at all against another gunship (I am now talking about gunships... not gunboats, and of corse it depend on oponent's skill and setup too).
There is one deadly ultrapwn setup for sairbox but I keet it for myself... I dont wanna see much of them in game.
Go, fly around, practice your driving skills and try different setups, thats best you can do.

The BHG is not the corsairs, their ships are not meant to be the same - for all we know they could be twice as good - or twice as bad. - and for that... one should be grateful that the faction gear is still "pretty fair".
be glad that you HAVE a gunboat at all ( as much as a BHG can be glad to have one at all )
balancing stuff means that we try to achieve a fair learning curve with ships. - its boring to master a ship from the very start - and more satisfying to feel / experience that you actually become better.
balance is when an ACE pilot defeats a first timer - but the first timer learns in the process - and has fun doing so.
other than that - a BHG gunship is a BHG gunship - not a corsair gunship. - comparing them is like comparing cucumber with apples - they re both plants... but thats about it.
Agreed if all ships are the same then there is NO POINT in having different ships. Thats like having one ship.

Well im glad I got everyone to practice on their writing skills at least.

In any case I've been running some more tests with a friend the pas few hours, and I must say thanks to all, your advice has been most helpfull.

It's true the BH GS has prety good agility and is hard to hit with a SN, but it will die to all GB's. If the person who flies it knows how to aim and press the fire button. (and a little skill is needed in aiming)
