Omega 56 - Seth Karlo - 08-29-2009 Changes made Athenian. When I get a spare moment (IE: When I'm not tired, drunk, busy or being lazy) I will upate and submit this. I need to make mBases entries for all the new bases, and assign numbers (Which will take a few hours). Maybe I could talk to Cannon about a program that does it for me...:P -Seth Omega 56 - Cellulanus - 08-29-2009 I personally think the stations are way to big and grand, to the point of absolute silliness. Omega 56 - Athenian - 08-29-2009 Alternatives? edit: At present, the stations are exactly as they were in 4.84, (with the addition of the shipyard.) Seeing as the three stations serve very different purposes, maybe something more unique could be put in. I saw this image and thought it was neat as a shipyard. http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/9/8017/knfguardbase.jpg The Guildhall should be something closer to the current Barrier Gate Station - it looks closer to how I'd picture it - ie something like a medieval hall or cathedral. That would tie in with how the research station would be - something like Sunderland http://media.moddb.com/cache/images/mods/1...Screenshot1.jpg Are all the ships going in as listed above? The names need to be altered as well. There's no real need for so many of them - just a stationary battlecruiser by the 15 hole (called the Var Targ) would be enough. Infocard The Var Targ was one of the Guild's first capital class ships. Since being retired from active service, its superstructure has been converted into a powerful weapons platform. The crew aboard are tasked with guarding the Guild's remote and secretive research and construction facilities deep in the Omegas. If at all possible, it would be helpful if the Halle JH was closed - as it serves no real purpose. It can be kept as a placeholder for later changes that are being discussed. One thing about 56 - patrols by npc's are non existent. Could we have bomber and gunship patrols? Purely to have something different. Omega 56 - Seth Karlo - 08-29-2009 You are welcome to make them yourself. Omega 56 - Athenian - 08-29-2009 Who me? Or Brunhild? Omega 56 - Cellulanus - 08-30-2009 My advise would be to tone down the shipyard until it is about on the same level as the vanilla shipyards, as right now I think it falls into the "guard system silliness" category. I completly agree with the above quote. ... Really nice work here Seth, but get away from the idea that the Hunters need a uber-huge shipyard and you still cant count 2 berths as 1. There are too many of them, tone it down to a reasonable level. - Div. Omega 56 - Athenian - 08-30-2009 Folks, slinging the word "silliness" around (three times in as many posts) as an evaluation of someone's hard work shows pretty poor consideration. I agree the shipyard is perhaps a little too large, considering the Guild should have a modest fleet by Sirius standards. But it would be nice for a faction owned system to have stuff that is unique (we did pay for it after all) hence the suggestions I made above. Omega 56 - Seth Karlo - 08-31-2009 I meant Brunhild. Here's an idea, how about we put you all in a big room, let you fight it out and the winners get there thing. Oh, here's a better idea, how about the people who paid for the system tell me what to do? *Looks at Athenian* Hmm? *Returns to his state of gracefully tipsy from far too many back to school parties...* |
