The majority of Discovery uses Skype, at least the parts that are even slightly organized.

I also have Steam and xfire, if that is more suitable in the short-term:
Steam: eyvindm
xfire: eyvindm

That said, I think you will benefit from migrating to Skype. There is a vast network of Discovery members in countless Skype rooms and conversations.

You could also hang out in the Liberty Corporate Lounge skype chat with Eyvind and me!

' Wrote:Miller, it was in NY, so it is acceptable ZoI, but coorporation (any other than LPI because its their job) that is activly hunting pirates makes me laugh. You arent military, you are traders with some thughs who like to wave guns around as escort. Thats fine, but attacking enemy that isnt threatening you atm is bad conduit.

You havent breached any server rules, but its breach of server ettiquete.

KoF once got themselves in war with SCRA because they were acting like paramilitary, hunting down pirates all around. It was before zoi id restrictions so you could have seen them in omegas hunting. That was bad. You are doing it now too, but in ZoI. Yes, its legal, but its frankly stupid from rp perspective.

ID states what you can and what you cant do. It doesnt say what you should do however.

Let me give you an example. SCRA ID says we can stop slavers and cardi runners anywhere in sirius, and levy fines. I still have to see it happen. And we also decided we wont fine, because of proto socialist rp, and rp where we use different currency.

Every Trader faction ID says they can hunt, but no faction to date except you and KoF have done so for now. Dont do it, its annoying and pointless.

Just to get back on this post (as I was asleep when it all happened)

I in fact have been in-game a lot and might be able to tell you exactly whats going on. In case your wondering your talking to [*USI*]J.Adams[JC]

We are not actively hunting down pirates other then the ones on the Bounty Board.
However we do sometimes commence a security patrol where we may encounter pirates which we always ask in a friendly way to take their business somewhere else, and to not bother any traders.
If they refuse we will drop the friendly act and get more to our point, so there won't be a ''please'' involved.
In case the pirate still refuses or is starting to become a threat to us we will use force to clear that particular threat.

Yesterday we had yet another large convoy, me as scout. And I flew right into a Rogue and a Hacker. All we said was ''Ahoy!'' and they just let the whole convoy including me go, so we don't always start shush things.
I can always call up more situations I've been in with pirates where it ended without any gunfire.

If you still disagree with my statements here, and still believe that we actively hunt down pirates feel free to add a Screen-shot in a PM to our [VP] and he will take further actions if needed.

Thank you.

I fully agree with Warlord a.k.a J.Adams[JC] we don't fire FIRST.

Your VP happened upon a battle three days ago (Around that time) and asked if the opposing side needed help, so that puts your theory in the bin.

Sir, if you have problems with our [VP] attacking first, then PM him instead of writing here.

If I'm not wrong. Feedback is what this thread is for, you put it up and then we, the community, tell you what you're doing wrong and what you're doing wrong.

True, this topic is for feedback, for the USI and not for one person inside the USI.
As Velicko informed you before, if you have a problem concerning our [VP] only you should contact him trough a PM. He'd be glad to help you with your problem.

Quite true, however each person within your faction represents the faction. Therefore you give feedback for the faction.

But again, nice RPing.

I understand there are those who think [*USI*] are acting out and taking police matters into our own hands. We have not been hunting although some of our members have brought to your attention what our ID permits us.

Instead of hunting we have been doing patrols in Liberty. I usually send one to three escorts on a designated patrol route if pirate activity is high. The reason behind this is so after we 'clear the path' (That does not always mean there is an encounter. We do try our best to resolve confrontations without fighting.) we are now able to trade without confrontation in our home sector (along with many other citizens). It is also a good way for our escorts to work as a team outside convoys.

Another thing we have done is assist other citizens that are under stress from pirates/terrorists. They contact me via private comms and then I send a small team over there to check it out (We don't do this all of the time, I have also reported it to the authorities). Now, I agree this has to change. We are not the police and this was out of role-play. So in order to fix this, all private messages we receive from traders/civilians that are under duress we will report them to the authorities. That will increase our RP with the officials and allow us to concentrate more on shipments.

Now, with that situation a few days ago. I'm not sure which time you are talking about, but to clarify this we will assist Navy/Police and other citizens/traders if they allow us. As a Liberty corporation, we have the 'right to bear arms'. Even though the threat may not be towards USI, it is towards Liberty and this is our home. If you feel this is wrong please post your thoughts.

The leader of DSE brought up a valid point, that since we acquired the right to use Guardians we still shouldn't only use them. We do use Eagles, Havoc MK II and Rocs primarily, but now I am stating a new rule. That only the Leaders and Senior Cadets are allowed to use Guardians.
