Well, I was never in touch with those guys, except for Blodo. Therefore I only can judge him: he has good ideas and I am looking forward to see him acting as a moderator.

I also don't see the point of this thread. Let's face it, the decision has already been taken, these folks have received their positions and they're there to stay. And I honestly have no problem with that, I actually think we need at least one more batch of moderators/admins. Regardless the fact that half of the community thinks they're unfit for such position. Well, be glad we have these admins, and not some childish, incompetent, blustering morons, much like those you can find in MMORPG servers (like WoW). There's a slight level of decency around here, even though it's degrading.

While that is true to an extent, you still need to have people who will do the job properly, not just randomly swinging that hammer into whatever heads it colides with on it's path.

Well truth be said, some, not all, admins seem to have lost a bit too much sense of humor.
I remember seeing Hoodlum post smilies in various old threads and posts for example.:P
All I want from the people newly made admins, besides doing their job well of course, is remaining friendly and 'accessible', meaning not ignoring messages or such. Don't close up, is all I'm saying.
