Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - reavengitair - 10-18-2009 Quote:10. equanimitee - you were at 4 k whole time... What other should I do? Chase you for another 2 hours while you keep distance on your thrusters? Well, even though you have left, I will point this out. If you had had battleship missile turrets, you would have won, but you had an all cerb loadout. Its true, many cruisers will do this to you. What you do NOT do is come back to the battle 2 minuites later after you have fled off scanner range, and when I return to freeport - you come back and blast me. Naughty naughty. If thats the case, goodbye. The apocalypse has been suspended. Have a nice day. Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - 11of10 - 10-18-2009 So, it is finally over... one way I don't like to see. You know, tho I've never mentioned it to you, more than once, I had the idea of RPing Willard. Just, never had the funds to do it. Then, I hoped that the BHG|Core would do it. Did anything like that happen? Farewell friend. I hope you come again, here, eventually, and start things a-new, in a better way. A few nights ago, I was on Bowex)Lionheart, listening to your story about war, in front of Primus. Made me think about our real world. Even tho it was all taken from a movie, you seem to know it by heart. Good bye, and hope to see you again, flying around, under better of circumstances. Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - kindred - 10-18-2009 The amount of votes in the short amount of time is astounding. The results are very clear, I'll let them speak for me. Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - darthbeck - 10-18-2009 While i did get unhappy about some of the conduct your wingmates had, i am truely impressed by you giving all the remaining money to your wingmates. Take care, and feel free to come back again. Maybe next time, you'll have the core as wingmates... Maybe...Good flying. Ironic, isn't it. http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45869 Umm... yeah. I had the character partly repped up just to do that, actually. (Order bomber with recruit ID at the moment, actually - just had't finished him all the way yet due to lack of time.) Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - jimmy Patterson - 10-18-2009 did he just quit the mod??????ifso thats harsh sure he overstepped boundarys but his rp as an individual i felt was warneted of a terroist id keyword individual Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - Guest - 10-18-2009 Jimmy, it was either quit... scrap all Apoc ships for new RPs more than likely to be meta-gamed for who they were, in a similar way to what happened with Weedalot. or.... I'd have to say you need to keep the suckerpunches above the belt. Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - BillG8s - 10-18-2009 One might say that my misfortune of joining the Apocalypse on the eve before their destruction is somewhat .......unfortunate. Thou if you jump into a doubtful boat you must always be prepared for it to sink at any moment. In some strange kinda way i see this as an opportunity. A lone BC out in space with no harbour to go to and no friendlies in sight (and the fact that death is indeed death), well it all thrills me to the very bone. What a perfect rp situation! (yea, as said really BSG like). Just have to hold my skin and dont get ''wacked'' to early. :) Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - Athenian - 10-18-2009 ' Wrote:some in your group dont really participate much in RP, and while you are a good RPer and not deserving of this, some of the others are slightly more so. If people all wear the same tag, then people will have to share responsibility. ' Wrote:Except bringing something new and interesting in RP of server.... Unfortunately, many perceive fleets of Bounty Hunter capships that launch frequent raids to be nothing new. ' Wrote:I know this is a RP Server, but its also a game, and games are ment to be fun are they not. I think you mean "this is a RP Server and also a game." There doesn't have to be a distinction. ' Wrote:I doubt that "old" players would need some "protection". Probably because of experience. And most likely because most people now better than to pursue a course of action that alienates everyone. ' Wrote:1. I was guilty for 1 out of 7 sanctions. While the rules are sometimes a little unclear, sometimes they aren't. I think you're being a little disingenuous here. ' Wrote:I did open fire on you and I denied it at first. Why did I deny it? Because I wasn't really sure that I did fire at your transport before you told me that, while incident was still not finished and all of hostiles were not... taken care of. It was a battle, remember? Unstable situation? I can't keep track of everything all the time. Ha-ha. I destroyed a juggie with a mako, 2 times (second time I had Highlander's help). Ha-ha. The other day I'd finish off your carrier as well if you didn't have 5 caps against our 2. Try pressing more buttons moving your mouse a lot more next time , see if it works:) Higher standards of play are expected from capships. Now whether or not you agree with that is another thing, but it is generally true of Discovery. ' Wrote:3. Never did I see that someone had his cap 8 taken. I didn't see it till now, which doesn't mean it didn't happen before. I recall Ku-Lan losing his entire ship. And a fleet of Battlecruisers getting jailed. It does happen. Not every week, but quite frequently. ' Wrote:You also said "(...)expressing dissatisfaction with the guild and the way the guild ran stuff (...)" I expressed it before we were even expelled from Guild. Hell, I even complained while I was flying dessie in omega 3... And that was 6, 7 months ago. You could let us know what we are doing wrong in our feedback thread. ' Wrote:5. Kelt - Did I ever start a fight in minor without first telling "Gather enough forces first, then we will fight." Why didn't you mention that as well? Ask many in Gamma as well. They'll tell you the same. I wonder if you were entirely aware of what your henchmen were doing all this time. Apocalypse Assault Wing - current status - Athenian - 10-18-2009 ' Wrote:7. "The horror. The horror..." The movie explains it all, if you have enough brains to understand symbolics. The horror of war, the horror of death, the horror of life, the horror of lies, the horror of what humanity has become, the horror of being ripped apart within yourself, the horror of being alone, the horror of judgement... I could go on for ages... I'm a big fan of the film too. I just never understood the choice of the Guild and not the Liberty Navy. ![]() The irony, the irony. ' Wrote:11. I thought that Jinx would write something, I thought that George Graves would do that also. Frank, Val, Burns... So many of you... Monte, you should have write something more... Ah, who cares, right? Anyway, I still like you like before guys but in keep in mind in future that some of your community members will deserve more support or different treatment with different approach. I don't mind criticism, but in the very most cases, in was based on lies. One person can't influence the entire community. ![]() Huh? What the .... ? ' Wrote:One might say that my misfortune of joining the Apocalypse on the eve before their destruction is somewhat That's the spirit! Folks, Freelancer isn't Eve. The roles we play are to a large extent dictated by a story we have no hand, act or part in shaping. All rebellions on the server have ended badly - for the rebels. (I'd cite examples like the 522nd, the Order Rebellion). Why? Often the reasoning is reactive rather than proactive. Rebellions only seem to happen after someone is told not to do something, primarily for player/player (rules) reasons rather than character/character (obey orders) reasons. Rebellions generally utilise capital ships in large numbers. This stretches credibility. Rebellions seem over eager to expand numbers, often to their detriment. Communication is often imperfect. People will often join a rebellion for the wrong reasons. Rebellions are comprised of members who rarely are part if any other groups on Discovery. Rebellions have to tread carefully - in terms of diplomacy, player interaction, etc. They seem to be held to a far higher standard. And with good reason. And speaking as a citizen of a country with a long history of failed rebellions, I can honestly say that this ending is pretty accurate. |
