Ask the LR- Rogues - Pinko - 05-26-2011 ' Wrote:The Liberty Rogues are not a hand-holding faction. We don't roleplay nice, if you want some carebear pirates go to Kusari or something. Someone forgot Del's Rogues. Ask the LR- Rogues - Ryummel - 05-26-2011 ' Wrote:The Liberty Rogues are not a hand-holding faction. We don't roleplay nice, if you want some carebear pirates go to Kusari or something.I haven't met any 'carebear pirate' in Kusari yet. Ask the LR- Rogues - RockCrystal - 05-26-2011 @Varok, If you want a specific, helpful response, then be specific and helpful. Quote:b) Why every encounter with you ends up with a PvP confrontation?... I've never seen something more wrong. We run from at least half of the encounters with LN. We run from ALL bounty hunters and most mercs, even with a superior force. If you're speaking as a trader, the PVP only happens if you keep thrusting and don't pay us. We're pirates, not the Liberty Welcoming Bandwagon. In short, if you don't want to be pirated by us, hire an escort. As for the rest of your statement, I'll lump it together by just saying it's within Rogue RP. Believe us, nothing would make us happier than to have a nice 5 minute chat with your character, but that normally ends with The Most Lolwut Millitary in the Server coming down on us. And believe you me, THEY do not RP. We're lucky if we get 2 lines from them before engagement. So, if you again have an encounter where the RP was lacking, BE SPECIFIC. Use shipnames and quote them. It will be much easier for us to determine whether you're Q_Qing because you just lost 5k in Gold Ore, or whether our RP really is lacking. Ask the LR- Rogues - Varok - 05-26-2011 @ Peter Kristall: Indeed, this was a more constructive response rather than " Go cry somewhere else ". Peter, I am not talking from the point of view of a trader. I'm talking from the point of view of a junker, a navy officer, a donut eater or a outcast. I never saw a rogue running from PvP. From what I seen they love swarming the LNS-Lolcaps with Barghests. I always pay the pirates, but only if they have a 2 minute chat with me. Sometime trading is boring, and having someone to talk with you is great. PS: Your attitue is way better than other rogues that replied here to my cries. Ask the LR- Rogues - Backo - 05-26-2011 Varok, Could you give us, the Liberty Rogues, some examples of the bad experiences you've been having with us. It'll help us a lot to tell if it's our roleplay or really some mistakes we're doing. Because without pointing to any situation, we can't judge it properly. Smart Blonde Ask the LR- Rogues - tansytansey - 05-26-2011 Quote:While we are in that cuddly little place, did the Rogue ZOI end in Kepler/Gallileo or in the southern cloud in Shikoku? (ZOI as in, you rob people there)The cloud is with in our ZOI, yes, but we rarely ever fly there. Ask the LR- Rogues - Hawkwings - 05-26-2011 I saw a Rogue in Shikoku once... had to do a double-take. I fail to see how the Rogue players are at any fault here. They are RPing their faction apparently very well, and it appears that the problem is that you are failing to separate RP from OOC. Yes, that meanie LR is going to say mean things and do mean things to your ship. Guess what? Don't take it personally. OK fine, I'll spill the beans actually. Speaking as a former Rogue, part of our training went something like this: "OK, that guy Varok on the forums? Yeah, here are all his in-game characters. Go harass them ALL THE TIME. You get an achievement for it." And we're like "Yay achievements!" Now you know. Ask the LR- Rogues - Hone - 05-27-2011 I got a question, I think I kinda understand it, but perhaps you can make it clearer; Rogues are allies of the outcasts, outcasts have cultivated the rogues to be their little bum boys, by supplying them, and getting them addicted to cardimine. It is part of Freelancer cannon that outcasts pirate in Liberty - outcast NPCs on the lanes, the SP mission where your convoy gets jumped by outcasts - so we can assume that the alliance was based along with the agreement that outcasts would be pirating in Liberty. Why then are you the LR attacking/driving out all outcasts you see in liberty, when they are your most powerfull supporter, it is part of rogue cannon that you are adicted to cardimine they supply, and how can you call yourselves allies when you do it? Outcasts are in Liberty not to fight the lawfuls, but only to make sure the Cardamine flows. Not all of the Rogues are Cardamine addicted, you're confusing the Southern Hackers (those based off Mactan) with them. It's established in Discovery lore that the Rogues are self-sufficient, and because of this, they will not tolerate an outside influence muscling them. The Rogues could ditch the Outcasts, but would lose an important income and be far less powerful. If Malta cuts the line with the Rogues, the Rogues would probably find other ways to survive, though. Quote:I saw a Rogue in Shikoku once... had to do a double-take. The only reason why the BHG has bases in both Shikoku and Manchester is to repel the influence of the Liberty Rogues and the Lane Hackers back into Liberty, which became a lot more present in these systems as of Vanilla.
