The Bretonian Citizens Army - cshake - 04-07-2010
After flying with you yesterday and reading this thread, I rather like the idea.
The points brought up before about it being rather like the BPA in intent and operational area is valid, but as you've said it isn't meant to be officially supported by the government.
From an OORP perspective, it's nice to see more lawfuls in the area to help with piracy and undesirable miners in Dublin, no matter your official affiliation. If BPA comes back to decent activity levels then I see your group possibly becoming unnecessary, but for now I'll give my support.

Question:
As a militia, you are armed civilians. Does that mean, when there is no fighting going on, you will perform civilian activities, such as shipping, mining and similar?
It may be a good idea to recruit members from existing Bretonian civilian factions, such as Bowex, Planetform and BMM.

As a Militia we will still even if there is no fighting regular civilian stuff, freighting goods, and such yes, but there wont be any big mining operations.
Since, there is a war, the Militia needs to be at a constant stand-by.
This may change how ever, and yes recruiting people from the "Civilian" companies is an idea.

1. too many ships
AND
2. civilian militia, civilian ships, like it
also;
1. what is missing from the BAF roleplay that makes you aware that another non-canon faction is required?
AND
2. what prevents you from joining the BAF to plug that gap: why set up another clan in the first place?

Y'know, this could work as a Bretonian quasi-legal vigilante group. Just a thought. You're not restricted by the law, etc. etc.

Majority of the BAF| players (I'm not saying I speak for all of them. Just for myself), like the idea of a Citizens Army in Bretonia. It opens up more fronts and roleplay for the BAF as a Military faction. No longer can we worry about Cambridge being invaded by Corsairs if we're busy fighting a war, or running raids.
Especially now seeing as there's a Militia behind us defending home.

It's a well-reasoned RP concept that doesn't quite fit in the BAF (existing player faction or NPC faction), and it should contribute to the RP of the BAF better as a seperate entity than as part of the BAF.
I obviously support this, though I'm not planning to join. Still, I'll watch for you in-game for some RP when the server's back up.

No, I don't think youve read anything ive written in the first post, this is nothing like BAF and could not join them with this idea.
Now, I want you to sit down, take a deep breath and accept that BCA is now it's own group, we have 6 members and more joining.
It will be as I have written it in the first post.
And no more "Join existing factions", it does bug me a little that a person can't see the potential in another persons idea.

The second in commands are: Aces.Fox and Magoo! (Forum Names)
They can and will answer any questions regarding the BCA if I aren't around.:)
