Disagree with the RP if you like, but Shago isnt alone on this.. Even factions do it.. Today I was chased in my Eagle for 15 mins by a Liberty Carrier! Overkill? I am not arguing with you, I just think this could be resolved without making the poor guy a KOS target, unless as I said there is more behind it. Hunting pirates - Guest - 10-15-2007 ' Wrote:Thats not exactly the point I am trying to make, but yes he did earn the money...As I said in my first post I will be glad to un-Kos him if he downgrade to a gunboat, which fits RP. It is up to him, not to me. And you have my gratitute bluntpencil2001, your words given my hope I'm on the right path, thank you. Hunting pirates - Unseelie - 10-15-2007 ' Wrote:Disagree with the RP if you like, but Shago isnt alone on this.. Even factions do it.. its a symptom of a disease, and, as is quite common, we can't cure the disease, but we can treat the symptoms. so he isn't alone. he is the guy chasing you for 15 minutes in a carrier. overkill much? Hunting pirates - Spear - 10-15-2007 ' Wrote:its a symptom of a disease, Granted, I see your point.. The only way to do this fairly is to amend the rules so that all established factions operate the same kind of policy of controlling CAP use.. That wont stop all the Merc's running around in CAP's tho :/ I prefer fighters, but many new players on the server become seduced by owning a big powerful ship, once they learn to RP better the attraction to owning and running a CAP fades (I hope)... Peace Hunting pirates - Unseelie - 10-15-2007 click the blue part of my Sig...or just go here...same place, really. me, expounding on that same issue. and, the ACMerc being wise. Hunting pirates - Spear - 10-15-2007 ' Wrote:click the blue part of my Sig...or just go here...same place, really. I could not agree with what you said in that post more... Hunting pirates - Malaclypse 666 - 10-15-2007 I will make a final statement in KNF's defense; then I will not anticipate, pre-empt, nor speak in LoTeK's stead on these forums again. Admiral Sulu inherited many of the regulations and KNF policies which seem to be in question here. It is now his perrogative to change them if he wishes. This is all documented history. Ambassador deLuna (aka Harley) initiated the "no caps in Honshu" edict, which then translated to no BS's in the Core systems. Does that tell you how long it has been in place? Hiroshima was purchased during Nadir's Leadership. Access to KNF and KNT vessels was in place from day one. When Nebotuda/Yngen left, Chijin was the first to interdict and to fine Yoda-[T] for entry into Hiroshima. He later came to me with his donation, and I granted him access to Hiroshima for trading. His is the only exception, and LoTeK_ permits it still on my recommendation. I humbly suggest that Shagohad's roleplay should have included, nay, been initiated by communications with Sulu and KNF regarding his intentions. KNF doesn't owe him a dime for his failure to think of that. Shagohad's answer to the issue of police owning a Battleship was to change his ID from KSP to KNF.. an even greater slap in the face to a House faction which limits its members to the ships they may fly. The KNF has one, count em, one Battleship. The Katana Defense Wing later brought a second when it merged with KNF, but how often do you see either one? Does the phrase "month of Sundays" strike a chord? Does this shed light on why a KSP-tagged BS might have been a bit jarring? In the new Mod, the Talarca Cruiser will be available on Planet Honshu. Perhaps this would make an ideal "Police Corvette", as it breaks from the traditional look of Kusari's military fleet. LoTeK_ seems willing to make concessions, on pretty much anything except Shagohad's bloody great can opener. For you detractors of LoTeK_ and the KNF, I think he deserves great credit for his devotion, and willingness to continue after the desertion, yes desertion, of its previous leaders; Nadir, Yngen, Harlequinn, and myself. The Curse of the Blue Lagoon has bested each of us in turn. Will all of you, and Discovery in general, be better off if LoTeK_ and the KNF follow suit; and Kusari is reduced to nothing but chaos? That is what we are facing here.. not just one person who says, "screw you, I'll fly what I want and do what I want, cause you're not on when you should be"... Eris may be smiling, but I'm not. Believe me. Mal/Chijin/The_Fool Hunting pirates - Denelo - 10-15-2007 Hm. Why're we flaming each other over this when it'll all be a moot point in the new beta when the Battleship License shows up? Seriously. I have one thing to say about this, and that is the title of the thread in the link. This link. Over here. The white text. Yeah, this one. Now can we just let this die? Hunting pirates - Magoo! - 10-15-2007 Okay... Honestly I have better things to do at this moment; my family awaits, and I've got to go. But after reading three pages, skimming a fourth and winding up in the Fast Reply; I've got to make my time worth something. Allotucus (or however its spelt), I agree with you completely. Sorry for past agressions in another thread... But thats another discussion. Thanks for trying to calm the situation, though now it seems to have spun out of control. Listen, kiddies... One man's RP is another man's reason to flame the first man and verbally teabag him until both parties are smashing their keyboards into their desks. What he considers legit, the KNF are busy PMS'ing about. Over all, I really hate the KNF now following the revolution in my knowledge that their leader is a totally immature... Individual that cannot handle such situations coolley. Really... A leader is supposed to be diplomatic and open-minded. Not go, "OM TEH G! I don't like the fact that somebody doesn't want to be a subserviant peon under me and instead wants to act alone in his own RP." You could try compromising instead of KOS'ing him... But constructive ideas are highly overrated. Shooting is much more fun, right? He has every right to have that ship... With the exception of his Police-ness... But I understand he's now KNF (As in a Navy unit)? So what's the problem other than an independant Naval unit... Commander... Admiral...? And while his RP may not be rock solid, neither is the KNF's... Although every military has a weak link that accept bribes and promotes corruption, right?... But who's counting? *cough* Yoda *cough*... *HACK WHEEZE* Generous donations? Oh... Bribes *WHEEZE HACK COUGH SPATTER* Now, can we HELP him figure this out... Or answer the original question? This is getting, dare I say, "Utterly and Rediculously Stupid". Hunting pirates - Juan_Arquero - 10-15-2007 ' Wrote:Ok I've just read my way through this.Spear: I don't know if there is some "bad blood" behind this, as I only know what I've read in this thread and in other (mostly recent) threads. I'm glad that you agree with me that this is bad RP on the part of KNF. Quote:If this is the way the KNF have been operating in Kusari for awhile then fair enough, but you can't really expect everyone to know this..I agree that not everyone can be expected to know this, but I don't think that the KNF policy is reasonable. I don't care how long KNF has had a policy of trying to control which ships independent players use, but it's bad RP and the fact that it's a long-standing policy doesn't make it good RP. Quote:Trying to be totally objective what I see is a player being victimised for failing to bend to the will of an established clan.. Is there more behind this? Because thats how it comes across..Unfortunately, I'm having the same reaction. Quote:PeaceI'm sorry, Spear, but I don't react well to bullies and the KNF are acting like bullies, so... War (with the KNF). Juan_Arquero, Lon_Shimabokuro, et al. |
