Your Finest Disco Moment. - Luksiboj - 12-15-2010 The day when my Rhino ship was scanned for the first time by real human player!! I was entering Kusari space and KNF vessel (he was very nice and polite i must say)stopped and scanned me! I was thinking to myself:"OMG no more running from ship scanning procedures, these aren't NPC's!" That was the day i realized that i've become a part of something big! Your Finest Disco Moment. - Primitive - 12-15-2010 Getting in official factions and understand meaning of being part of one and playing with those people. I had all indie chars until I start joining factions, it got dull and boring. So in a word, thank you people from the factions I'm in. You're the reason I enjoy playing Your Finest Disco Moment. - The Joker - 12-15-2010 My finest Disco moment... The day I was informed by a moderator that there's a possibility of me being Forum banned for using a word "politician". Please think of the children, imagine if you became responsible for another person growing up to become one? :nono: Your Finest Disco Moment. - r3vange - 12-16-2010 [color=#FFFFFF]Hmm... That would be when me (Maria.Martinez[13th]) and Apollo.X (J.Starbuck[13th]) took on 5 LN/LSF official members and won. Awesome fight the Navy was coordinated as hell, pro-players included (I won't mention names, they know who they are) and after nearly 2 hours and 45 minutes of grueling fighting and less than 7% hull left, I managed to take down the last fighter and head home...brilliant I will never forget it even though to this date I believe that it was just a stroke of luck since it is not theoretically plausible to win against such a coordinated defense. Your Finest Disco Moment. - Jihadjoe - 12-16-2010 Oh man... I completely forgot about this, but I'm gunna have to post it... One day, maybe two years ago, I was sitting around, watching skype messages pop up, and then suddenly I saw the Outcast emergency chat flash up... "Tons of corsairs headed to Alpha. Get fighters" This was nothing unusual, so I waited a bit, seeing if anyone else would hop on and deal with it... Ten minutes passed with silence in the chat... "Where is everyone? We need support." I logged on to see just how much chaos there was and found the corsairs sitting 12k from Malta. A mixed force of CR, IMG and Corsairs, inculding the old LT (hai Karo), and OPG... So many well known names and faces. Even dearest Enchy there in a praetorian bomber... The outcast forces consisted of myself, Skoko, D56, Zavier and Ichtan in sabres as well as some random guy in a container transport, an armorless dessie (which I think was Thexare). "We're screwed" I thought to myself as the corsair tide approached and started firing... "Go evasive" I yelled in group chat, and the lot of us started to dodge... Hard. Skoko lagged out in the middle of this due to a thunderstorm. The brave dessie and container transport died in a matter of seconds, Ichtan tried to type something and got as far as saying "Joe we've go- damnit..." So we're left with D56 (We miss you Davor, and all your blue-on-blue minekills) Zavier and myself, outside Malta dodging harder than I've dodged before or since, holding them off for just a little over an hour while outnumbered ten to one. Davor dodged from Malta to Ibiza and back again. Zavier ninja'd a kill on one CR guy who EK'd too long and ate and inferno and guns... One more CR guy drops to the same from me... and then we all three dock, missing parts of our ships, grinning and yelling about just how damned epic the whole situation was. Probably one of the best memories I have of playing this game, and I can't believe I'd forgotten about it until just now. There's something that used to get me going about the OC/Corsair war. It was fresh, exciting and happened on a huge scale. But more importantly than that, for the most part it was really good natured (aside from a few mishaps which turned into major arguments). ![]() Your Finest Disco Moment. - Sonja - 12-16-2010 ![]() The above could be my most cherished moment here. In fact, I still have this picture on my desktop. ![]() ![]() So far back, when the SCRA were using the RAXX tag, and I was [SA]-Christina ... Oh, and green messages were still active on the main server. There was no such thing as a "gank" back then. One or two people could pull off a slaughter against any number, and any class of ship, given a large enough skill gulf. And of course, there was dual nova cannons, which could be fired three times before a recharge was needed. And those killed dropped the full amount of nanobots and shield batteries. Fighters could even mount, and fire, them... ![]() Spot what's wrong in that picture. Apart from Zelot, of course. Your Finest Disco Moment. - Tabris - 12-16-2010 My finest Disco Moment? Well there have been several...But I'll just reach WAY back. When I made Captain in [SA]/[LN], I was so proud of myself, one of the top Dogfighters of the day before I 'retired'. ^_^ A more current Finest Moment is when I managed to get into SCRA through hard work and alot of RPing, the craziest bunch of fools who have always managed to brighten my day with a funny story.:DThanks guys. Your Finest Disco Moment. - Vero - 12-16-2010 The day I was entrusted with the job of Admin on the server was a high point, certainly. A corresponding low point was coming to the realization that RL matters made it impossible for me to continue in the Admin role just a few short months later. Every piece of role-play as Synth-Foods-Convoy|104 was fun. There were of course ugly moments of uber 5miloryoudie goons, but for every 5 of those there was an encounter that made the countless hours of running food rations, synth paste, consumer goods, etc worth every minute. An example off the top of my head: Xenos forcing me to broadcast my support of the Xeno cause system wide in New York or face the consequences. |
