The xbox, and ps3's are about the same, but since hd stuff is going out-of-date its all going to be blu-ray. The xbox you have to pay for online, and the ps3 you don't. The ps3 plays blu-rays, and the xbox plays hds...ps3 has a wide variety of games, but the xbox has a wide variety, but is all about gears of war, and halo....The ps3 can be converted into a super computer by putting windows on it...(look it up) It has a web browser, and its wireless built in for internet connection.
Theres a bunch of things, but I would lean more towards ps3, because theres a whole bunch of more things you can do with it, and you don't just end up getting the 360 because of halo, and in the long run what you pay for online play would end up paying more for the 360 then the ps3.
I kinda like how sony, and nintendo stick it to microsoft, because they don't make you pay for online...
Oh and the 360 has been dropping prices because of the failers they have been having...

i have about 6 people that have had sense its release 2 xbox 360s and 4 ps3s (one ps3 nearly caught fire in my firends house)

Seriously, I'm getting a 360 just so I can play this epic game of epicness.
PS3 has a lot of good games, but now one of their best, the Final Fantasy series, is being made for Xbox 360 too.
Yeah, you gotta pay for Xbox live but Microsoft don't usually ask for too much else. You know that they will come through with repairs in the end. Besides, Nintendo's online play are basically sandboxes for little kids. "Don't swear, don't move, don't breath."
Some of my viewpoints may be a little unreliable and biased. I havn't researched any of the consoles in like 5 months. Fable II.

I play both 360, and ps3, and the 360 is a LAG-O-MATIC, but thats my point of view. I just don't think if your going to buy a game, and you already own it. Why would you have to pay for online....Wii is fun, but gets boring fast....Ps3 can do many things....xbox 360 is halo...halo...halo...give me money...icrosoft just asking for a little more? pffft....bill gates is the richest man on this planet...He doesn't need that little more money.

No he's not, not anymore. Most of his money has gone to charity. The way I see it: Halo 3 will come out for PC soon enough. Xbox is going to be outdated soon while PS3 will stay mostly relevant. Unless you want the Media Center components of the Xbox, I think the PS3 is a better value.

My 360 is still good and I dont know what lag your talkin about. Until the 360 becomes like DreamCast Im sticking to my opinion that 360 is better.

I think if you did get the pc version you can go online in gamespy....(which is free)

i say xbx 360 for the simple reason is, its just better online. and ive never had a problem with it and people arent just "Gears of war2, Fable 2, Halo 3 " yes they are good game and im going to have/ get all of them but whats ps3 got? A free internet just so people get ps3? When the Xbx is getting more and more exclusives. And about modding your ps3 to play pc games... whats the point? your using a pc right now anyway.
Anyway, ill leave my opinion at that cause i cba arguing anymore.
