Good day,
I personally consider marking the guard systems distinctively is a great idea.Of course,from my perspective,that Richard.Ames character wasn't there by any means of exploring - i mean,its very unlikely that you start exploring the nomad worlds with a flier.Especially knowing that most edge factions (Order,Sairs,OC,you name it) are very fond of their territory...but,whatever,we do what the OHC says.
It could be fun though to see a big red sign in front of O-100 entrance (weak reference to other disco mods out there who are keen at posting such things in various locations:P).

I say it's a good idea. I remember this happened to me back when I was a newbie.
I found it funny more than anything else but it can't hurt to give people a warning can it?

That's overkill.Plus,if a fight occurs near such a system,such in Minor,next to O-100 hole,it's plain ridiculous to be owned by the installations:P

I vote for the buoys outside the house's guard systems, since it's weird to for example, RP you're a full-fledged citizen of Rheinland and then one day..
When you're dancing aound the space and picking up nebula daisies, you fall into a rabbit's jump hole and find yourself out into a parallel world where your own country is going pewpew at you in a mad spartan rage O.o
of course, unlawful guard systems wouldn't certainly have something like PEERILOUS PIRUTZ COVE - NO TRESSPASSING...as imho, its just telling their enemies this leads to OUR base, lawful officers blockade HERE D:
