Seconded. Though as Dusty has pointed out this thread is rather moot. 4.86 will supposedly bring a better trading system balance. Another reason to want 4.86 eh? To Official Trading Factions/indie traders/pirates - Sanguines - 03-01-2011 ' Wrote:this is not about trader roleplay. trader roleplay as it is - remains unchanged. you go and do a run. this is all fine, important is the effect on pirate rp. the situation now forces (yes, FORCES) pirates to enter a system that is already filled up. i dont like the developement at all. and i think its harming rpleplay. the pirate groups can sit 1-2 systems away from their bases, but nothing will pass by if you arent sitting on one of the mining routes. im speaking as the leader of the black sails here. if we are to keep up our faction activity, we are forced to pvp with hessians, outcasts, rm, baf ... anything. i dont like it. i dont complain about amount of pvp. some of you know i like shooting stuff. but the black sails are primarily a pirate faction - not a pvp one. sadly, we are forced to shoot others to keep activity up. alternatives are to pirate people in dublin - which leads to bretonian lawful factions entering the system and attempting to drive us out - more pvp. its a downward spiral keeping people in one place - i dont want disco to become 5 new york systems. call me an idealist - i like it too much to see it degrade to something like this. You have got to understand: Bretonia's dublin is one of the most sourcefull locations in bretonia, and is directly linked to one of the systems sairs usually come from. It is the same with Nobium in Tau 23. Outcasts come there to Pirate IMG miners... Why? Because it is in theyr path, however, Outcasts on the other hand, dont always have to work from alpha ea. Tbh, If I wear you: You realyl want to pirate traders: Join the right faction at first, such as outcasts/lane hackers/rogues and the various house criminal factions. You can easely get ernough traders befre lawfull force ea would come in megalon/cortez/Kepler/galileo. There enough traders there doing runs. I only say: Buff trader(including smugglign). Keep mining as it is: They do work alot harder then traders and theyr easeliy pirated. To Official Trading Factions/indie traders/pirates - Not Espi - 03-01-2011 oh im sorry, i didnt understand that corsairs are not a pirate nation. ill change id's and ships asap. To Official Trading Factions/indie traders/pirates - hollowpoint - 03-01-2011 Are Dynamic Commodity Prices possible? like not having infinite amounts of goods on bases instead make there be a supply and demand for goods?? probably not possible because of game mechanics? but i think it would entice more people to actually trade, especially if the profits shifted to highs and lows, it would make it less monotonous and less predictable. To Official Trading Factions/indie traders/pirates - Shardphoenix - 03-02-2011 ' Wrote:That's a dangerous route. Because those activities aren't really very risky. Not more than regular tradingAs a smuggler, you need to be afraid of both pirates AND police. Quote:it doesn't make sense to have more people breaking embargoes than trading legally.Actually, it does. That`s why people smuggle goods IRL. |
