' Wrote:No, but there is a simple solution. Don't form on caps.
In addition to that. If caps form on you simply leave the group.

' Wrote:Early mornings / evenings is relative, since we have people on all around this funny little blue globe of ours. For example, assuming I didn't have anything to do (like work) and would get on Disco when I first get up in MY morning (0700 local) - that's 1200 GMT. And I'm easily capable of being online at 2200 local - with is 0300 GMT.

There's nothing preventing you from mining during the times you're on - it's just that WHERE you mine may have to be adjusted due to your time zone.
For someone like me who has fairly limited game time during the week (1.5-2hours), this isn't really an option. I already had just barely enough time to do a full niobium run (accounting for some expected RPing along the way). Requiring me to spend half an hour or an hour flying all over Sirius to find a field with a decent drop rate makes mining a waste of time and puts it far behind trading in terms of what's fun and efficient.

Sure, I could put Hegemons in every field across Sirius, and just log out/back in until I find a decent field, but that smacks of metagaming to me.

I preferred mining to trading because it increased the likelihood of me having RP encounters. I typically don't see anyone at all on my trading routes, and at least with mining the pirates knew where to find me. This new mining system has made mining a total waste of time for me, and it looks like I'll be returning to trading.

Can we have that ramming damage added to all ships?
I think all ships with higher mass should do damage to ships with lower mass.
For example, if a Titan bumps in to a Sabre (Sabre is the only VHF with lower mass) - Sabre looses hull.
Titan looses hull when he bumps in to a Falcata. And so on.

I am asking this because it's obviously possible, since SHF's are currently set as 'bigger ships'.
In other words, yes, you loose hull when you hit a Spatial in your Eagle.
I think this would speed up some fights, and make things a bit more realistic.

player1 5% hull
player2 1% hull

player2: KAMIKAZE!!!!
CONSOLE: player1 was put out of action by player2 (collision)
CONSOLE: player2 was put out of action by player1 (collision)

sounds like fun eh?
