My warning is to be understood as such: It is not only some weird Zoner players who are completely disapproving this choice, so be warned that you are going to lose a lot of respect because of that. You might not care, which is again not of my concern, but you ought to care for your own image, and this choice is damaging it severely.
My warning was aimed at the people involved in name-calling.
I thought all Zoner players were weird.
(If I knew why Zoners disapproved of this choice, I might be able to figure out why this it is such a bad choice.)
