I got the name Garet Jax from one of my favorite books, The Wishsong of Shannara, by Terry Brooks. He happens to be my favorite character in that book as well. He is known as the "Weapons Master."
No matter what weapon you use, he is more efficient with it. He is always on the lookout for a worthy opponent to face in battle.

It's just a 'very funny and entertaining' guy, played by Jack Nicholson, who - for some reason - tried to murder his wife and son with the axe...

Doc Holliday inspired me to choose a Wild West name.
Also, "W = weapon".
That was the reason, why it is William Frederick Cody.
