We thought about giving new players capital ships. We tested that with our proxy faction, the [RM]. However, then they made a civil war. We concluded it was not, in fact, a good idea.

They had a numerically bigger fleet too, he just got isolated. A bit earlier we lost an indie LABC that way as well. Nebulae are hell to fight in. Don't know what happened to them later, they kept coming 1 by 1 right into the killing machine. I'd have loved to duel that destroyer, but after they had done the same to our LABC, I assumed that was how they liked to play.

I'm sure they are. Though I do need to and I am mentioning the fact that the Bounty Board payouts may change depending on the number of players (battles that occur is a better phrasing, I suppose) that venture in the Omegas on hostile factions. The prices are only high to provide an incentive to log, and I believe that is well understandable.

I am, well was a member of BAF for three + years now and I had to leave the faction I cared about because its Leader threatened me. Name called me, attacked my body parts because I was critical of his actions in bretgov and on the forums. Feel free to see what I said here. Its been said over and over that factions are dictatorships and that's fine. However I am free to give my feedback as a now former member of the Bretonian Armed Forces. If you decide to speak out against the leader on the forum or in any discord server you will be threatened with a kick and name called.
To be clear, I am the one who hit the "leave server" button and I am warning prospective members to be careful and to keep your opinions to themselves.
