It actually looks somewhat unique thanks to that. I like it.

Oh well. Tastes differ.

This is way better than the spatial we have now as a model.
WAY BETTER

Originally I wanted to say that the new spatial we just got was not bad, but this thing is pretty cool looking I have to admit

I have to disagree. "Saying" that we had to replace the old spacial that had a huge "snac target" wing and replacing it with TWO LARGE WINGS that SPAN OUT and spread out the GUNS is basically what ruined the ship. The old one was more compact in its gun layout and i have to say was more accurate.

Maybe for the same reasons the rest of the line has? Planetary flight? You don't expect a fighter craft to stay in space at all times without landing anywhere after all, do you?

And the wings are one thing, the rest of it's features, texturing, cockpit, general shape also add to it fitting into that line.

After thinking a bit, no, I don't dislike this model. But again, there are other ships needing a replacement model more than the Spatial. Remember, we still got a Moldy Crow.

Basically, I prefer this over the rest. It looks fat -enough-, and has that aggressive face with the horns look about it. The rest... well... I'll reserve my comment on them, since I'm not in the mood to do give detailed explanations right now.

This one looks like it should instead be the replacement for the Firefly, on account of the neck.

RE: Spatial Replace Updated with Texture preview - Druen78 - 11-24-2013

The Firefly is a big transport, not a snub. Also, it's already having a replacement.

Only issue I have with it is that the renders on page 1 makes the texture look black-ish, which is pretty much a no-no here since the game requires manual aiming and black ships are harder to target

The texture shouldn't be hard to adjust, if it does look to dark I can play with the color contrast in photoshop, I never considered the color to have an effect on the model thank you for bringing that up.
