RE: Something disturbing I have noticed during my pirate-trader interactions - Curios - 12-02-2013 Woh woh woh, calm down here. I'd say that - if one is aiming to, let me quote - "frak with traders" - he'll achieve the said goal since it's a goal itself. If you're logging in to ruin someone's day then you will most probably be successful in it. If trader is logging in with "frak those pirates, I'll just ignore those bishes" in mind - he'll do exactly that most likely. As being said - somepersons turned the server into the sandbox for pushing own virtual domination over others which is not quiet healthy for such a tiny community. Most people do not log into the game just to grind some more virtual pixelcash (or to enjoy the view on the pretty, perfectly balanced ship's butt for a couple of hours) but to, also, hang around with some nice fellas even if they are on the red end of diplomacy sheet - doesn't matter. That's what I, myself, wanted to say - I simply don't want to play with people I dislike (and here, Spaz, I'm not saying it's you since I wasn't playing with you much (if any) - there is still a plenty of persons I won't even like to cross my ways in trade lane). Someyears ago when I was randomly logging in with any of chars I was assuming that wherever encounter I'm going to get involved with won't left me pissed in the end (Even if I'm a trader\miner\whatever - I went though a lot of roles both lawful and unlawful). Currently it's rounded down - when I log in I'm assuming that some weird shait is bound to happen so when I meet some nice guys to pew\rp\play with it surprises me to the depth of my soul. Try searching the source of the problem along those lines mbe. RE: Something disturbing I have noticed during my pirate-trader interactions - Curios - 12-02-2013 Did I destroyed the discussion again? :V RE: Something disturbing I have noticed during my pirate-trader interactions - sindroms - 12-02-2013 I really do not see how fraking with traders is any different from fraking with lawfuls on a pirate ID or vice-verse. Especially now, when attacking a goddamn Kamome with a cap5 and all Dulzian turrets is a mistake you only make once. :| Seriously, fak those things. In any case, whenever PVP is involved, there is always going to be a losing side and a winning side, whose joy is going to be on someone elses expense. The Pirate and Trader thing is such a big deal only because most traders cannot go toe to toe with a pirate. If they could, I doubt people would whine about it use it as an excuse or argument in these types of threads. Perhaps that was the reason why the trans turrets were buffed in 87 in the first place. Especially now, when attacking a goddamn Kamome with a cap5 and all Dulzian turrets is a mistake you only make once.People fly traders to make money, other characters are flown for different reasons. When people are killed on non trader characters, they lose absolutely nothing, while enjoying pew. !FUN! net gain is positive. When trader is killed, he was forced into one sided nofun pvp and lost very real time. !FUN! net gain is negative. While I do not believe this to be absolute truth, its 99% reason for trader whine. I also find it funny how most common suggestion to traders is to study chat list to avoid pirates. You know, we play online to meet other people, not avoid them. In the current system trader is expected to avoid pirates by any means possible. If some system in multiplayer game is encouraging non-interaction this much, there is diffinitely something wrong with that system. Another fun thing is that several years ago there was annual forum whine thread "is using chat list for XXX ethical?". Times changed, I guess. And Spazzy, you should be last person about whose quality of rp we argue. After all, you do have shitton of facts about your rp on YT. I only watched your single video, xenoindygogogo, but that gave me pretty good picture of what you think of rules, other peoples' rp and pvp fairness. Thats totally not accusation or anything, just my imho. RE: Something disturbing I have noticed during my pirate-trader interactions - sindroms - 12-02-2013 From one video made one and ahalf years ago? Well, I've marked people for dead for less than that, so that is understandable. Also, an odd choice, since that was one of the videos, during which my mic blorked and never did record any of my voice- the one you hear during the video is the guy I was flying with. Silly excuses aside, if you think that is bad, I suggest you do not look at what Cloaks are about. Because that is something like the very essence of avoiding player interaction. RE: Something disturbing I have noticed during my pirate-trader interactions - McNeo - 12-02-2013 What a response. Unfortunately it does nothing to mitigate the point that terrible people who RP well will still be terrible people, and nobody wants to talk to terrible people. RE: Something disturbing I have noticed during my pirate-trader interactions - Th3Nu773r - 12-02-2013 I for one enjoy the interaction of a pirate encounter when im lawful and also when im unlawlful..... (its the m ain reaosn why i pirate...) however being pirated over and over again by the same player in the same location during the same session can get a little tedious after the 3rd time and can result in me just "paying up" with no interaction what so ever. just sayin. RE: Something disturbing I have noticed during my pirate-trader interactions - Highland Laddie - 12-02-2013 just a quick note, although the point of the game is to have player interaction, a traders interaction is not necessarily going to want to be with a pirate. part of the skill of pirating is knowing how to catch traders, not having them fall right into your lap RE: Something disturbing I have noticed during my pirate-trader interactions - Pavel - 12-02-2013 Keep it civil guys. Also guess what? Moving to proper subforum |
