Technically, the people of Liberty own that portion of space you speak of.

Y'Know, Liberty being a republic and all that.

You just get to say what does and doesn't happen in those areas.

Too many got 10b+ in my opinion, but like someone stated earlier, what are you going to do about it? It's everyone's free will to do as they wish. I suppose those who want could delete all their characters with so much money on if they wished! It will hardly change anything though.

I have enough money to be happy, while still helping others get what they need (but not everything they "want") when possible.

Once people have surpassed a certain point, they're likely just trading/earning for the RP, habit, to hang with friends, or to break the monotony of their other routine. As many have mentioned, more moneysink items (ex. scanners, engines) could be added for wealthy players or they can start funds toward charity, bounties, loans, and so on. Making trading less profitable, drastically increasing ship prices, and other restrictions only deter new players and keep people from getting to the level of wealth they need to achieve their ideal RP/PVP - or something close to it.

Furthermore, a reset would probably result in losing multiple types of players:
  1. Newer players that just got enough for the ship/equipment/base they always wanted.
  2. Older players who had a lot invested in assets that mattered to them, RP or PVP-wise, and wanted to focus on those.
  3. Busy players who had previously been on the fence about being able to balance Disco time with a RL schedule.
  4. Players who simply dislike powertrading. With everyone at zero, there are no banks, loans, bounty board payouts, or ship sales until the player economy builds itself back up. There is likely to be a lot more rage at pirates and balancing trading/smuggling/mining during this time (which I learned is not as easy as many may think from the dev side). This might be offset a little if official factions are given their 500mil and CAU8, but then you get the official elitism arguments.
Aside from Barges and unique ships, the amount of equipment and credits in the game is infinite. The only difference between the "haves" and the "have nots" is time.

well i have to divide static cash and fluid cash

static cash = allready in use ships and equip
fluid cash= useable not bound

static = ~1.1 billion ( Council Battleship, Bison and so on)

fluid = ~ 250 million on account

RE: How rich are you? - andreialvin - 02-20-2014

like 19 mil ,and outcast gunboat and 1 kamone

RE: How rich are you? - djoser1970 - 02-20-2014

I'm well off.... my ships and stock of cash over a billion easy. I give allot away to newbies, to help the experience in the game but not enough to spoil them they have to earn it as well but they will bring friends. With all my unique ships I make $$$ hand over fist. But it becomes boring don't ya think. I am getting slap stick nuts now. We need a station where we can custom build our own ship from ground level to top everything we desire. Yes it will cost but with all the cash what else are you to do with it?
Just my oppinion

A good money sink would be to bring back the barge and sell it for 2 bil or something.

How about 0 (zero) credits? :^ )

RE: How rich are you? - Corsair - 03-04-2014

I used to have around 3 billion creds, but gave it all away when I left about a year back. After some trading, I've gotten around 150m again.
