A freelancer can fight for anyone when hired. So yes they can be involved,

OP doesn't say 'allies and any randomer they feel like hiring.' I'd say that suggests that no, freelancers aren't welcome. What's the issue with people misinterpreting what 'allies' means?

You cant tell what side they are on until you got one on your tail.
As far as im concerned, i would strongly advice against it.

I second that, it will become a huge mess, even in the yesterday's New London event, I wasn't sure of some targets who were freelancers.

Also what @jammi said.

RE: Battle event: Operation Royal Flush - Emile - 05-03-2015

freelancers are allied and have it in their zoi. Why is there otherwise not a merc id there? If there was one this would have fitted this event a lot better. And id states Its allowed, but if one attends it as freelancer/merc it has to be obvious you are fighting for one side or the other. To add freelancers are individuals who have own goals, like mercs and so on. Each freelancer in the game has a unique reputation and way to play. We even got our own civilian carrier Smile

Funnily enough I fail to see 'freelancer' listed as an ally on any of the involved faction's infocards. It's supposed to be a top secret military operation.

Freelancers aren't going to be welcome at every event, particularly when it's a story event that pertains to specific factions. It's really not that hard to grasp.

Allies means infocard allies, yes. Please, lets make this less of a cluster this time.

I'll be there on the Liberty side, LNS-Saint.John .

Otherwise, I can try to arrange some hogosha to try chase junkers out of the battlefield, and do little to contribute to the actual battle.
