RE: Cardamine treatment roleplay is dumb - Jack_Henderson - 02-17-2016 Megalomania... everywhere. RE: Cardamine treatment roleplay is dumb - nOmnomnOm - 02-17-2016 Scourge srs if the cardi goes into atmosphere it will be harmless. You would need a buttload to do any damage and the counter would be just to burn the gas or counter or chemically or .... Pee into rags and breath that in lel. Chemical warfar would be short term when talking about cardi unless you produce enough to jet it into the jet stream and make it not dissipate. That would be a lot and it would be damn expencive. A cheaper alternative would be to poison water supply tbh. Please go research how Fusion weapons detonated in upper atmospheres are bad Please go research how liquidized contaminants injected into an atmosphere can be devastating Please go research fallout and while you're at it, go research the Atmosphere Depravation Warhead for some extra credit. It won't be on the test but the subject matter is similar enough that it will help with your comprehension see me after class Edit: Come to think of it, I'm explaining this poorly. Lemmie just refer to the wiki: Quote:Planet Braillia used to be the main settlement of those who wish to join the Reapers' cause. Being descendant of the Outcasts, most Reapers are addicted to Cardamine. In an attempt to transform the planet into a second Malta, the Reapers detonated massive fusion bombs laced with Liquid Cardamine particles throughout the atmosphere, intending to "seed" the planet's biosphere with Cardamine. The plan however failed catastrophically, scattering hazardous radioactive isotopes planetwide. Key word there is "fusion" for those of you still whacking eachother in the head with wooden number/letter blocks RE: Cardamine treatment roleplay is dumb - nOmnomnOm - 02-17-2016 (02-17-2016, 09:00 PM)Scourgeclaw Wrote: The plan however failed catastrophically, scattering hazardous radioactive isotopes planetwide. exactly. So why waste cardimine that is your income when you can just do something more better suiting. RE: Cardamine treatment roleplay is dumb - Findarato Veneanar - 02-17-2016 Am i right in guessing that the cross cult would be for turning more worlds into cardamine planets, while most of the rest of the outcast population would want to keep all the production to outcast space? Malta has a very specific set of conditions in the soil oceans and atmosphere that allow Cardamine to grow and thrive. Nowhere else in Sirius has these exact conditions to allow for such a thing to happen reliably. Planet Kitahara is the closest world to Malta in all of Sirius; it shares many of the same attributes and a very similar biosphere, and the Cardamine grown there is so pathetically weak compared to Maltese-grown crops that it's unfit for use. Now, Malta right now maintains a monopoly on the Cardamine trade. No sensical Maltesian would wish for any world besides Malta to have cardamine growing on it naturally, as that would endanger the monopoly. Combine this with the facts mentioned before about it's particular tailoring to Malta and you can easily come to the conclusion that Cardamine will never really grow in any worthwhile sense outside of Malta itself. Now, the reason Cardamine stands as a potentioal bio-weapon is it's properties in it's liquid state. Now, this is delving into nomad territory so you'll have to ask Conrad and Huggie about any changes but as last I knew it; Liquidized Cardamine took the form of a noxious acid that is rather hazardous for not only humans but also for any lifeform in the surrounding area, basically killing off anything besides Nomad tissue which for reasons that I haven't properly read up on, are immune. Factor that in, and you can see how it would work as a weaponized agent. At some point, I need to gather together all the frequent misconceptions and facts about Cardamine possible and throw it into a "What you need to know about X" style video to prevent any further confusion. Time will tell if that comes to fruition or not. Either way, hope that cleared things up for ya. Either the RP has evolved beyond that and has changed, or the infocard is accurate and whats been done in the Nomad Lore document needs to be re-evaluated. I agree, there's a disconnect, and that's up to Huggie and/or Conrad and the Devs to figure out. I'm going off of whats used in the Nomad Lore document, that's just how I've always worked when it came to the topic. That disconnect is the reason nomad bases were the only place to get the item in-game for the longest time. If population of whole planet would become addicted to cardi, then supplies of it would become one of the priorities for government. And there are always two options how to obtain vital resources you don“t produce yourself. 1. Buy it. 2. Conquer the source. So especially if this would happen to more than one house, it could easily end with "Lets team up with Corsairs, conquer Malta and divide cardamine fields between us" alliance. Just my theoretical idea
