I vote yes.
Whether it is on the forums, in-game, or on Skype he's proven that he has a level head.
In all his posts and conversations, both in RP and as himself, I've never witnessed him take up an unreasonable stance.
I believe he'll make an even-handed admin, unfortunately if he gets the position my fellow Gaians and I will see less of him.:unsure:
Well for the good of the community, it's a sacrifice I am personally willing to accept:laugh:
But in all seriousness, I am glad to see him getting nominated, his shoulders can bear the weight of the Admin's Mantle and he'd do the Admin tag justice.

Beyond that, I'm quite frankly opposed to ANY new Admins right now. Laowai is a good choice, but you know That Thing We're Not Supposed To Talk About? Yeah. That Thing We're Not Supposed To Talk About is really stressed right now. I don't want to stir the pot, and certainly not with anything that has my worst interests at heart (namely, blowing me up). And don't try to tout him as some kind of golden boy, it's not making him very endearing.

That's funny. When the general community was asked we were told we may be asked to surrender command of our factions to prevent bias (and hence I didn't even apply. I loved the 101st too much to give it up). Now faction bias isn't even being considered. How daft.
It could be worse, though. He could be one of those Admins that just works for himself.
EDIT: I know, Var, I'm just wary about throwing new Admins into the mix at the moment. Let the mod come out before we do any of this.

Eppy the reason we need an Admin, preferably two, is that once 4.85 hits we'll be two short (DBoy and AC_Merc) getting Laowai in now is necessary to ensure he's ready for the storm when it comes inland. If we wait til the mod is out we're going to find ourselves swamped. We're swamped enough as is, with just what's going on now, given we're a few Admins down for a number of very legitimate reasons.
Laowai is a -good- choice. We trust him to remain impartial in his dealings with Outcasts and Corsairs.
Faction bias is taken into account if you decide to keep it with your Admin brain. However it's not taken into account during the decision making process, it doesn't need to be, whether you're a Corsair or an Outcast doesn't make a difference to whether or not your an Admin. Unless you choose to make it an issue when you become one.
Hoodlum had to leave the 101st because the rest of the faction chose to make it an issue for him, my Rogues have been smarter, knowing full well that an Admin in the faction doesn't make their lives easier only more scrutinised. Ask them what happens when they go OOC in system and I hear about it...
