I am actually pleasantly surprised that all of the people who were around for the cap8 and DPC thing are still present on Disco. I am glad that many people here know what kind of frackery I was a part of in the past. And not just the DPC, but all the subsequent stupidity from my side.
I am glad that this thread turned out to be filled with concerns about this decision. It means that I actually have something to prove in this position. That this is not as clear cut as "Well, of course he got admin, he has the youtube and tutorial and event thing going". It means that that alone is not going to be enough and it is a good thing.
For those of you who came out to shake your fist at me, hold that thought. I am very much inclined to prove you wrong.
And I promise I will keep server-crashing mistakes to a minimum.
If anything, I also hope you realize that this is the point where I simply cannot go back to my regular nonsense. This position is an ultimatum as well. It is something that I was explained to -quite- well.
And you know what? I am up for that challenge.

Wow that was fast. Welcome to the grind. Please don't burn out as many of us have. There is good advice in the administration section now visible for you, heed it, I didn't and the results were predictable. I know you care about the server, don't lose that, hold it tight.

Arguing as a whole gets us nowhere.
GamerGirl is pretty much yelling at the whole comunity here. But seriously. Let this one go, you only waste your time and your fingers, on what sindroms did in the past. He changed for the better and obviously in some poeple 's eyes, deserved the admin position.

Well guys and gals......this can be looked at this way....for as long as I've known him , all the run-ins with him , all the times I never knew it was him who taunted me mercilessly in z-21 as the code running fighter......for all the things he has done or has been accused of.....I would say he is good addition to the team. This means the admin team now has someone who knows what to look for in things , to see past any smoke-n-mirrors , if there are any , and point these things out to the rest of the team.
Good luck in your new suit.
Just one word of advice.....don't wear milk-bone underwear , you know its a dog-eat-dog universe out there.......hehehe

@gafwmn Well said and quite true. Combined with a first person experience of Disco''s long history he'll make a great addition. Administration position has a notorious history of taking away RP vets from ingame. Spazzy is in for a big never ending grind. Let's hope he finds the solution that has evaded so many of us in the past.
