GMG| Feedback - ProwlerPC - 05-15-2010 @Friday; It'll be noticeable loss not having you as a GM in GMG| anymore. I remember a couple months ago you were mentioning the possibility of letting go of one of the factions because being the leader of ]bd[ and a GM for GMG| was time consuming. Despite our loss I am glad you chose to continue to lead the ]bd[. The ID will have much to gain with your motivated leadership. You've been flying the GMG ID longer then most GMG| have even been on the server and through your rise and appointment as GM in GMG| your list of contributions to GMG RP are long indeed. As you were alluding to in your post, you still have much more to contribute to our end of the sectar. We've talked about it in Skype and I let you know again that you'll have my support and the support of GMG| as well. Good luck, Friday. @Simon Black; We only actually have one CEO that runs our Trade Division and then one commander that runs the Paramilitary Division. Both of which follow the mandates set out by the council of 5 GMs residing on Niigata in Sigma-59. It's an Oligarchy that we had setup from the beginning and continued since then. Actually I still remember when we first started GMG|; there were only 5 of us at that time all of whom were GM's. It is fitting too, based on the Oligarchy setup, everything started and will end with those greedy handfull sitting on Niigata Station In theory the lower ranks follow the Guild mandates loyaly and without question, a certain loss of individuality is born from this and is done willingly. The GMG employees couldn't be more happier in this time frame. Pay is good, security is high, no wars, huge growth due to other wars creating demand etc.etc.. This is in theory how it works out for GMG as a whole as we write it and RP it. Now naturally in practice with players, of course, it's not all running smoothly as the ideal sets out. Still for us it worked out quite well. Now we have ranks that have duties and we hope that those we put in there will perform those duties and even show some initiative by pushing for more things to do. For those that do this they find themselves offered a higher position and even more duties. This too has worked out quite well and I'll give some examples that we have in the council chamber still. Death's Overture was an early recruit of ours and showed a lot of RP and we bumped him up to a (then) captain within the paramilitary. In that position he got into a sticky matter with KNF. He tackled that situation fully and RP'd toe to toe with high ranking members from Kusari. It was his first real start and I liked it, he's still a GM. Friday is another example of riding up on his willingness to get into the dirty work. As many have seen our arguments his contributions to our RP was immediate on arrival and he made it to GM. Lionel is gonna now be a new GM for us. He too is a long time player that has flown a GMG ID longer then most of us has been on the server. He was recently our CEO (remember that position?). Well, Lionel has performed briliiantly as our CEO and has been very contributive in that regard. It was him who had the poor chore of bouncing between us GMs and the CEOs of Kishiro and RepEx to hammer out distribution contracts, it was him making overtures to other companies to do a final drive in completing our JG and it is him who pens out a system of doing trade events for our guys. Now he is GM. We provide the oppotunity for anyone to rise up the ranks and sit at a chair to run an official faction but we must see that effort come from the players who wish to rise up to that. If we hadn't created this system then the membership would always be down in those ranks because I am still here and while I have come close to stepping down a couple times it's currently not sure whether I ever will. Now with all this known when our activity gets low and some people leave we can begin looking rather "top-heavy" in our leadership. It's looked like that in the past, a restructure isn't really necessary for this purpose, we just need to do like we did back then and have our GM's get out there and recruit for the Guild again. Now there is a reason coming up to do some re-structuring. If this H-Fuel mining is implemented then we need to redo our trade division. Now there has been a weak couple links in our trade division between Sr Rep and the CEO. We'll be adding the Miner rank at the bottom but I do kinda like your supervisor idea you are alluding to with your CEO of Naha, CEO of Ogash...etc.... and I am probably going to remove those clerk ranks and place supervisor in-between Sr Rep and CEO. These supervisors will be limited to the number of systems we have commercial operations underway and one per system. We'll talk more on that idea. I hope this helps clarify anything for the readers. ProwlerPC GMG| Feedback - chopper - 04-03-2011 Really good move with this Samura crisis. I believe this is exactly what your faction needed. Four thumbs up for you guys. GMG| Feedback - Markus_Janus - 04-03-2011 Agreed, it is great to see you guys in space again. GMG was my first faction both here and on the last server I was on so it has always been a favorite of mine. Keep up this renewed activity, and kill more of my artifact carrying guys. GMG| Feedback - Not Espi - 04-03-2011 loved the activity today. keep it up. also that stunt you pulled on me was epic. hat and pants down, gents. (was in the sails flagship) GMG| Feedback - Rodent - 04-03-2011 I love you felix. Uh...yeah, loved that RP twist too. :P GMG| Feedback - ProwlerPC - 04-03-2011 Awesome, thanks guys heheh. While a good fair sized number of players asked me to pull this RP card out long ago (I'm like talking 2 yrs ago kinda thing) I've kept holding it and holding it as we explored the other many paths of GMG RP hooks. This is because of the RP consequences inherent in taking advantage of the GMG ID that allows us to get completely unlawful with Samura ID would have prevented us from trying the other things at the same time (war can do that heheh). Kurile provides that goal as a catalyst and a lure for invasion as the RP consequence. It makes things possible. It's happening now because I would be really really dissappointed in myself if I allowed GMG| faction to die without exploring all avenues of it's RP. Besides this is the kinda RP hook that can get many IDs back into action. :) GMG| Feedback - AceJoker - 04-03-2011 Kudos to all GMG! My jaw slammed the desk when i read about that move. We need more activity here in Kusari. Keep up the good work! GMG| Feedback - Cat - 04-03-2011 Considering the fact that Gallia is becoming the main opponent for Bretonia soon enough, this move of the GMG would indeed provide Kusari factions with more activity. GMG needed to put their vessels to good use anyway. Nice move indeed. GMG| Feedback - Linkus - 04-03-2011 Just flew against you lads, quite impressed. Gave a lone VHF the chance to chat away, debating and arguing with you all. The duel, while surrounded by 4 other GMG folk, was pretty fun. Annoying that the server died during it but fun encounter. GMG| Feedback - Atreides2 - 04-03-2011 Yo Linkie you were that KNF that i met in duel ? I am Shido Nakamura. |
