First of all, "environmentalists are against destruction of nature, including traditional methods" is an absurd argument. Environmentalists have to eat after all, and they would prefer to eat organically grown food. That is farmed. Obviously.
Also, it's important to realize that the AFA is the not the entire Farmer's Alliance, just like the NLH aren't the entirety of the Gaians. And the Gaians certainly aren't the entirety of the Green Front.

Right, so my argument is, That's why we destroy swamps, Rainforests, lakes, and other environments to make way for Farmlands? I would consider that destruction of nature, and yet, The Gaian's in this matter are trying to preserve planets from being Terraformed and used for Farming or industrialization.

Nice addition. Also, we have allied with many local militias in Afghanistan as well as working with a good number of private, civilian military forces.

Artisinal Farming, that is small lot farming does not require that type of ecological destruction. It is organic, and uses already available land plots all over, look at the urban farm movement in the United States for an example.

The AFA is built with many different real world groups as models, it is an amalgam of things. The AFA cannot be classed into a single real world definition.
