Quite frankly, right now Lost gets used at least twice per week by the BHG| and Order for our fleet combats. When we get 20 some odd ships in the same area - we don't NEED anything else going on there. Or would you rather stick a bunch of NPC's and other things in there that would potentially slow down and/or crash the server?
I know I have to turn my video down when we get going in combat there, because lag shoots through the roof with all the guns, missiles, ships, and mines that get flying all at once. These are not your 4 ship per side combats, kids. We have REAL fleet battles in there.
Having said that - putting an Order base in orbit of the planet, and a BHG| base in the vicinity as well, would provide us a quicker time of actually getting TO combat, for those ships that regularly participate.

Although some of the independant worlds between Liberty and Rhienland are pretty empty. I enjoyed flying through Kansas and Humbdolt with all their empty glory.

I vote it be an empty baseless but very pretty system, like Kansas, with almost no NPC spawns, only rarely at jumpholes.
we all know the opening menu systems? let's make it one of those. i vote the blueish one with the big asteroids just floating there, an asteroid feild composed of the massive asteroids like in the main menu scene.

And Unknown, but the shrine is so awesome it doesn't count as a base:P
