Can the Navy attack a zoner in alaska ? - FraserTE - 07-09-2009 ' Wrote:a better idea is to close the gate off like that one dude before mentioned so that people cannot just randomly use the gate, but add a non-mappable JH to both New York and Alaska that brings you between them. That way, normal peeps can get through if they take the time to locate both holes. In addition, the JH could have its vicinity INFESTED by nomads on BOTH sides so that it is hard to use. So, in NY the 5k area around it would spawn like 8 assasins and in alaska system spawn like 12. I like this idea it is a smugger route why do i gota use the gate every time ? Here comes the flame ( ZOMGBBGQTF WE WILL NEVER STOP THEM THEN ) thruthfully all u gota do is sit on the lane near area 51 or close buy im only headed 2 places manhatten or ronchester u can give ahead warning. Just like no one would go from an IMG base to an OC one and back. Furthermore, Gamma to New Berlin isn't 50 minutes of travel unless you go impulse. See that? You made me laugh so hard I was forced to use a forum smiley. I never use forum smileys. For christ's sake, the Gamma -> NB route takes 11 minutes, plus or minus 3 if you're exceptionally fast/slow. Heck, you can get to New York in 19 minutes without using Alaska. In fact, using Alaska takes LONGER than the other, completely in-RP route the Corsairs have available. Not to mention you can head to Islay or Planet New Tokyo for equal profit as Manhattan. Finally someone sees that the jump gate route is completely ridiculous! And if we want to keep it, why dont we make an item you need to illegally unlock the gate? A commodity for your cargo hold like "Alaska Passcodes" and make it contraband in liberty? Yes but if your a good smuggler such as my self i dont use lanes i avoid them at all cost rogues and outcast both pirate the lanes and the navy hangs close to them as well not to mention the texas > ny jh comes out in the banlads had i pop out there and there is a rogue near buy and they see artifacts ima go boom. I dont use trade lanes for a reasion mostly because i troll forums while flying 20k above them. Kreuzberg does look like it's a decent spot to go with them, too. Islay is a great spot to visit - who ever stops that passage? Or even Okinawa looks promising (not sure how the Hogosha would react, but you're also not technically going to Kusari either - with the Hawaii gone as a sell point, that might be a good place for them to go as the RP "dropoff" spot). Can the Navy attack a zoner in alaska ? - FraserTE - 07-09-2009 The difference between profit Newyork pays 2433 at manhatten 2350 at ronchester 2171 at texas 1870 at planet new tokyo per unit the best choice is newyork hands down. Quick edit yes it actually is alot faster to use the lanes going from gamma 41 5 cambridge newlondon manchester cortez cali newyork Or i can save the effort and go Gamma kappa Delta Minor Alaksa newyork. 3 less systems i gota go through and nobody bothers me till i get to alaska i risk beeing cought in almost every one of those systems its Risk vs Profit and the whole adding a jumphole in alaska to newyork i support that idea but a good place for that jumphole to come out is near the cali gate imo. It would allow both groups of smugglers ready access and it brings some activity to an otherwise vacant sector of space. Go fast and possibly get caught, or go slow and possibly not get caught. Don't complain when it is yourself doing it.. ' Wrote:The difference between profitNow judge the travel time. Sell price isn't the only factor. If a base bought it for 10,000 units but took you 2 hours to get there, it makes less than a base buying it for 5,000 units that only takes 30 minutes.. It's longer to Manhattan than to Planet New Tokyo, Islay, or Texas. If you want exact numbers, going to Manhattan with 5,000 Artifacts will get you a profit of 11,035.79 credits per second. Going to New Tokyo gets you 10,971.61 credits per second. Islay; 10,497.18 credits per second. I see little difference between the Tokyo and Manhattan routes, and only a tiny bit lower for Islay, but that is extremely secure. Yes but smugglers for the most part dont use lanes when u gona gett that through your think skull ? why the hell do i gota use the same lanes as the regular traders ? and get cought no thanks. Thats why there is jumpholes in between systems that avoid lanes there for smugglers And dusty aka copper head to stop smugllers i had to waay around to avoid him yesterday he was stalking me..... Ya im not a fast smuggler buy no means BUT IM NOT A FRIGGING POWER TRADER. Can the Navy attack a zoner in alaska ? - Blackvertigo1 - 07-09-2009 Eh. would two dreadnoughts parallel to the NY JG in Alaska work? Both having the firepower as the Isis? (Both having TCD's) I'm sure nothing hostile would get past that. |
