If you know me Smoke, the one to listen to is the one shouting the most in group chat.
Seriously though, I dont think such naming conventions are a great idea. Too messy, takes up too much space. If you're unsure just go out of group RP and ask in OOC, then build on that.

I view anything below Baron as a "soldiering" rank that can only really be given orders from the nobility (Barons and up). Knights, sergeants, men-at-arms... no one should really "pull rank" amongst them, rather work together and formulate the best course of action that way.
My best advice: Just listen to Exile.
