Well, first of all you need to have people, at all. Then you can filter. There's been a crisis of admins lately.

I hope Dusty remembers that the lulz is what the game is all about.

Don't let adminning ruin the LOL.

Something about Dusty and Athenian when they were moderators - one of you posts `gtfo` in sanction reports, while other is using orange to deal with `gtfo` I wrote somewhere in flood. Are you going to continue this way as admins?

I'm not too bothered, I'm sure they will be great at it!:)

Thats what happened to Joe.

I remember him laughing and smiling and everything before the crushing bag of hammers that is Adminship crashed down on him.

I had this whole spiel I was going to say, focusing on strengths and weakness and potential pitfalls.. RL happened and I got interrupted. Now I'm back and can't be bothered writing that huge spiel again.

The only thing(s) I will say is:

Don't lose yourselves in the admining job. Dusty. Athenian. Sarcasm is good. It has it's place just as much as politeness does.
Don't bow to public opinion polls. Stay true.
Keep Disco safe.
Don't forget to actually play. We'll be fine for a couple of days or even a week or two if you take a break.
Congrats. To all of you.

Difference between moderator and member, and now, Administrator and member.

I voted appropriately.

Seriously though, eh, all in all.

Dusty, with his sarcastic mocking spiel and general off-handed matter should not come off as abrasive or non-serious to anyone having to interact with him, leading to a rather smooth running of Discovery.

Athenian, full of laughter and joy and non-selective stock exchange moves should do fine as well.

I am sure it will be enjoyable to have Agmen telling me to grow up and denying me cookies as well.

Surprises all around.

Congratulations, I suppose.

I'm good for this change. Both the administrators are rather sound minded people, though they don't like to show it, and all three of the moderators are quite level headed.

Best of luck and don't lose the fun, ya'll!

It pains me to say this, since I greatly respect Dusty as a friend and fellow member of Discovery, but I must vote no on his adminship. He has proven himself an entirely capable moderator, dealing with the most resolute spammers with alacrity and bad puns. He has defused numerous situations with his sharp jabs and stinging repartee. However, I simply don't see Dusty as an admin. I don't doubt that he'll do well, it's just that it seems an ill fit for his personality and style. Being an admin is too serious of work to fit him, in my eyes at least. I'm sorry Dusty, but I can't in good faith vote yes.

Athenian I haven't seen a terrible lot out of. He runs the BHG, but he's seemed a bit inactive of late. Hopefully this will pick him up out of the doldrums. His personality fits with being an admin well, in my humble opinion. He gets a yes from me.

For the moderator suggestions, both Agmen and Holliday are solid choices. They're both committed, and appear to have the time to perform their duties well. Blodo I am not as sure about, but that might just be because he's one of the few people that I can remember are actually in the SCRA. A bit hotheaded too. Hopefully that will work out all right though. I give these three my approval as well.

All these folks will do just fine . . Don't worry .. .

I remember when Dboy and Hood were voted into Adminship and the same worries were brought up then . . .

The Veteran Admin team will "show 'em the ropes", so to speak . . .

It's not like they get elected, thrown a ban hammer to 'em, and just turn them loose . . . They will have some training . .

Best wishes again to all the electives . . . .
