It seems relatively unanimous. Can we vaporize this thread? Or shall we proceed along the chorus of "No's" ringing through the forums?

not with a vengance, they would have have nomad ships. And I thouhgt I read somewhere that you cann't delets threads, you can only hide or lock them.

I think, that we should have...a nomad subfaction. A player faction for generic nomads (not keepers) that you have to sign up for just like any other faction.

The nomad licence would sell from the shrine in adition, but, if non clanned nomads have it, they get sanctioned.

Nice idea?
Nope. It completely misses the important point I've made above, that is about a typical case of a player who is not aware of these forums or for some reason doesn't want to be part of the community, so that player goes in, buys the ID and left completely ignorant to the established role-play for the faction. What comes out of this was in 4.83 already, meaning your idea is just walking straight into a rake in the grass. Signing up means absolutely nothing, proves nothing beyond the fact a player has registered an account and may be, just may be, has read server rules and was told what thread to post in by some kind soul around. And who is going to process those sign-ups? Nice try, but it ain't that easy unfortunately. Don't think we need more problems than we have already.

Proposed solution must address all the issues first and have outlined methods of dealing with them. Here are the core four subjects: reputation modification, ID rights, role-play infrastructure and responsibility enforcement. But that's not all, there are a lot of nuances too. Let's see if someone comes close and deals with them. Suffice to say I do have a plan that, it took a little more than half a year to make, but the reason I'm not putting it forward is the simple fact that community is not ready yet for it and the changes it brings. I for one feel that the community must prove that it can solve it's numerous problems, can work together and come up with working solutions, can heal itself rather than put all it's problems on admins' shoulders and gleefully continue to spam non-sense in flood section.

*nods* fair enough...the majority of people that would sign up wouldn't be doing it for the RP but more for 'da lolz' anyway. Only a select few would be actually serious, and those few can just join the keepers so I guess theres no point in a nomad sub faciton.

I for one, have been enlightened today. We put most if not all of our problems on the admins......just realised that...cheers Treewyrm.

Ladies and Gentlemen, here is our example of a specimen infected with the 'lolwut syndrome', if only partial.

Perhaps the specimen will learn, perhaps not.
