I really dont understand your Post blubba...

In an equal fight, the cap that cruised in would be at a significant disadvantage

Rather funny when people want public discussion on some rules before they are implemented, but not on others.

As for the actual rule in itself, there should be less rule violation reports to process, which should compensate for other things.

YAY Nooblet!
A voice of reason in an unreasonable world!

Also, when these leaking diapers start PAYING to play, THEN, maybe MAYBE they can demand input...

Till then, adapt or Die. Darwin said it best.

In an equal fight, no one would have to run.

Or do you consider one Greyhound against one Liberty Dreadnaught somehow fair?

I've now tested this. My main fights are either Outcast Dread versus Destroyer and 5 bombers or Lib Dread versus Rh Bs.

Outcast Dread fight: attempted a cruise to catch up, managed to cover the whole 4k before my power was completely drained and came out on top of the Destroyer firing. So the draining thing did not stop me from cruising to catch up, I could do it against bombers an fighters too and have almost 8k before my power is fully gone, and if I hit reverse it recharges straight away.

In lib dread versus Rh Bs, I used to be able to keep them at range, but now of course they can cruise up, drop down on top of me and utterly destroy me quickly.

Beck, you said the tactics of cap warfare have increased? I don't, the hevier ship now wins. If it had been just you and me today you would not have survived long.

Anyway, I think this isn't fair play, so instead of bitching about it I'm going to pretend the rule still exists and won't cruise to catch up to anyone, becuase it's just a cruddy thing to do really.

How does it works ?

Granted. But now combat consists of sitting around the table drinking tea and eating scones.

*wears top hat and monocle* I say, these Discovery buffoons are awfully rowdy wouldn't you say ol' chap?

Combat now is more like throwing something, waiting, and seeing it pass by you a few seconds later.

This is true if you fight during DDOS attacks, lagfests, or with nova torpedoes.
