Righty Ho ladies and gents, you complained like god knows what about mainly battleship abuse, and finally
something has been done about it. Those with little or no RP value, hopefully will be retired, now the easy
option of the Merc ID has been removed.
For example, those Rheinland battleships sitting in Tau 31 with no more reason than to be swapped into
from a trader to attack pirates will be a thing of the past, bit like that route ...
What would you have ? Every single battleship applies for a license before purchase ? Jeez guys we have
little enough time to process everything going on now ...
Those with good and inventive roleplay stories have always found the way to use the limitations to their
advantage, and we expect nothing less from those of you dedicated to this mod and server.
If people cannot be trusted to use cruisers in a responsible fashion, then maybe ... But the limits to the IDs
hopefully will remove most of the root causes of the complaints in the first place.
Those of you with the will and the way will find the cash for the license, those not bothered, won't ...
Last time I looked, this was still a commercially driven game, with the larger ships as a reward for hard
work, not a god given right. New and inventive trade routes appearing will give you the opportunity to get
back and do a bit of trading, instead of sitting and posturing in those big slow moving targets.
It got too easy again.
And for reference the limitation is one battleship, per account, per player please.
