I recall that different engines called up in a ship scripter actually made the ship it was installed on handle different. It also had an effect on power availability.
Just an example here:
The starflyer engine vis-a-vis the Titan engine. (Agility and power available)
A Liberty Cruiser engine vis-a-vis the Reinland Cruiser engine. (top non-cruise speed)
A Fighter engine vs a Battleship engine. (top non cruise speed, power availiability and manuverability)

IO think taht would kinda Handi caop it a little bit... as you say... a Titan with a starfiler engine? that lesves no chance for an unskilled player...

Evo had different engines, tractor beams, scanners, energy cells, and armor components. Maybe you could get permission to use their engines for Discovery.

i think that we should remove the Swarm Missiles as it make the game Lag like hell

and also make Novas either weaker or do so pilots can only have like 2 per launcher

and make the Sabre and the Titan More manuverable
the Titan flys like a brick

Novas dfinatly need to be made slower No Tracking or less damaged... NSP fought Against 2 fighters and my GB got killed Countless times due to about 2 shots... as soon as my Sheild was down BOOM....

In EVo i belve that you couldnt actually Fit other ships engines ontpo your ship ??? I thougght they were just there so the could show you top speed etc...

Novas are fine and you guys didn't notice how much my Nova's were missing you. And it would have been 4 shots but the bomber has two launchers. They are slow unless the are fired while using thruster. Titan has already been added manuverbility and is fine. The Eagle was meant to be the most agile BW VHF and adding agility to Sabre and Titan would make it the same but the Eagle has less firepower. You want more agility pick a different ship. I agree about the swarm missile though. The Novas damage output is fine as well. You are the only people to ever complain about it and that is because me and Nesa singlehandedly chased you from your own system in a 2 vs. 4 match. And only having 2 Novas per launcher makes no sence. You wouldnt be able to take a BS hull even half way down and that is without armor upgrades. And removing the targeting would make the torp useless to anything smaller than a BS. Cruisers could dodge it.

AN you can always just shoot the Torpedoes, takes care of them really easy, beside with all the armour upgrades, you need Novas, BS's with over 1 million armour....gah :wacko:

this might not be the right place to post this, but whatever. I thougt about taking conquring to the next level. its basically like in SW:BF2, first you have to win in space combat (freelancer) then in planetary combat, but here comes a slight problem. what game would u have for planetary combat? my vote would go to ut2K7 if it would be released...
