Nom cruiser probably needs a heavy forward gun then. Something in the 5K range, heavy damage, low forward arc. Refire 0.5, purple light mortar, 66-75% of the light mortar DPS, and energy usage that will justify using this as it's primary weapon?

I mean... Should we really bother admins with more and more pointless SRPs, if you are -really- interesting in just RPing nomad, morph will do fine. If you want even more, and if you understand (mostly) basic things, I'm sure you can get in Keepers. If you just don't like official factions then... Whatever.

As I see it, nomad variation of light mortar (at least that), even with lower damage, smaller range, would improve that fat cruiser a lot.

Well again... Getting in Keepers, that are official faction, is -not- that too hard.

Other possible solution, would be to allow morphs to buy some-ish nomad weapons on shrine (.86 maybe). Just with trial ID. If I'm correct, there -are- some nomad class 7 guns, that are not sold anywhere. So they could be put in good use this way, with slight adjustments.

And opening nomad ships/weapons to public, sorry but no.

Oh, and yeah. About cruiser. It has -NO- chance versus -any- cruiser in game, in solo, fair 1v1. No chance. It gets bombed by mortars, pulses, chuck norrises and other damn weapons, until it has chance to fire nom cannons.
Nomad turret range - 1,980 m
Light mortar range - 4,020 m
Pulse cannon range - 3,995 m
Just sayin'

Akura has a point. At first I though pretty much same like you. But in sp nomads are awaken years after that sol accident. Besides, that extented intro wasn't introduced as official game intro. And I think that was done for a reason.

From my point of view... well Dom'k'vash (spelling >.>) created nomads as some kind of care takers and guards. Yet in time they realised that nomads are much more than just guards and can have life of their own. Now there is not known were dom'k.vash left from sirius sector, but they prepered it to nomads. Sirius sector was ment to be home of nomads. In the same time dom k vash left a lot fo traces to help nomads to envolve after they awake, like artifacts people found and made jump gates, trade lanes whit their help. Like cardamine planet malta and so on. Perhaps even a trace where their masters left.

Yet people ninja'd nomads and take over the promised land which doesn't belongs to them. Nomads were pushed into the corner. And as you know, anyone who is pushed into a corner might turn violant, even it never intented to do so.


Anyway. It's just my interpetation and it's possibly wrong.

Nomads uh?
Never applied and never will apply.
Why? For couple of reasons-
I don'€™t like factions where someone else can judge your RP and explain how much you suck if you don'€™t follow it.
I don'€™t like to have too overpowered weapons and ships- it spoils the fun and the sportsmanship and the spirit of freelancer discovery balance. It is nice double-edged sword actually. Nomads have overpowered stuff and complain being ganked. As result they gank people with overpowered stuff, as result the people don'€™t like nomad faction and call them names......
Solution is actually easy- make the nomad tech not overpowered, so the people will not need to gank each other.
Or keep the keeepers witch have too small numbers to make it worth against their enemies in omicrons and add normal free nomad ID with normal free normal balanced guns and stuff. Indeed at the beginning it will be like with the rogue cruisers and barges but after a bit time the change will be good for all parties.
About the RP and stuff- your RP is well written excuse to enable you to have unlimited ZOI, overpowered weapons and ships, the ability to shoot everything, gank everything and very selective type of recruitment.
If you are really so piecefull and only RP oriented then add a line to the ID where you can engage only in self defence- then you can have all of your shiny stuff and you also will be able to do what you claim that you do.
It is good that there are a lot of reasonable players around. Sadly not all are that reasonable and I don'€™t believe that you are all so awesome (from what I saw in game) to have all this stuff. Have fun and take this as positive constuctive critik not as flaming.

Yes, But the problem is: Keepers are imho the ones keeping nomad tech only for them selfs.

Its not about being overpowered. Its about being an non keeper nomad, which actually rps like a nomad, just takes a slightly different text-setup which keeps me from joining Keepers and really would like to use the tech for the morph. I could use krakens/wyrm and be 'more' overpowered as most of the people mention here.

but if I would use the tech, much like many others who do rp as nomad and rp it very well might I add (also not based on keeper lines) right now, I would be sanctioned, which in my opinion is a lancerrule (if iam mistaken - conflicting rule) because we are roleplaying it as per server rules. We arnt engaging first, thus defending ourselfs. (at least me and a few I know off, which show no interest in joining Keepers due to that they are strict about how to text the rp)

What I find odd is that why we are allowed to have weapons such as kraken or wyrm (they are Outcast's) and do more damage then the lesser nomad gear, have the same speed of attack, just less energy and dmg.

With this point I hopely told you: Hey, I rp enough, I just dont want to equip human guns anymore because it ruins my rp alot and it doesnt make sence because it looks very very silly. My ID doesnt change one bit for the fact that I have only killed one in self defence(and died about 10 times) I currently use 2 purple goddess(because theyr closest in particles) and an adv defi to make up the looks.

Also, If I am mistaken, Do tell me, I got one question that might end my post point right here:

Is everyone sure that lesser nomad equip(class 9) is only to be used by keepers?

You can't buy them, so that means you are not allowed to use them. Same thing is with phantom guns for example, just if there's no YOU CAN'T USE THEM on gun info, doesn't mean you can use them.

However, as I said, there already is one gun that is not used (it's not sold anywhere, and I'm not sure about it's stats). Gun could be modified for morphs to use.

Anyhow, you don't need guns to RP, right? If I remember, I've seen morphs without guns in past.
