Admin Notice: Faction Statuses Revoked; Warnings for Inactivity - SnakThree - 05-30-2011 Rogues controls part of shipline. So for the ship - you must ask them. Guns - admins input is needed for sure. Admin Notice: Faction Statuses Revoked; Warnings for Inactivity - Bloom - 05-30-2011 ' Wrote:no offense bloom, I already read your post and thought about it, and id like an admin answer please. Here :P I joke, I joke. Admin input would be good, ye Admin Notice: Faction Statuses Revoked; Warnings for Inactivity - Athenian - 05-30-2011 Molly stuff is controlled by the Mollies. Of which there are none at present. They've clearly allowed themselves to be decommissioned. That is to say, their bases haven't been abandoned and left open to looters from across known space. It's just that they don't exist, officially. They have no voice. No leaders. No guiding light. However, they haven't gone away, you know. Their stuff is not civilian. Trefoils are not going to be seen in department stores at knockdown prices. In the absence of a faction, obviously all manner of people will be inconvenienced, so I imagine it's only a matter of time before someone makes a Molly faction to handle this important job. It's so important that clearly all other Molly priorities will have to be forgotten about. In short, the requirements are the same - ie faction permission. In the absence of a faction, our thinking on who controls technology may need to be reconsidered. For now, consider those boxes red. This could change. But possibly won't. Also: anyone with proof of people cheating to keep activity up should post evidence or stop with the vague accusations. It's starting to sound paranoid. Admin Notice: Faction Statuses Revoked; Warnings for Inactivity - SnakThree - 05-30-2011 Hopefully they will stop doing it and there won't be any need for evidence. Do permissions given previously remain in effect (per the "tech permissions are irreversible" rule)? What about if a new Molly faction shows up, are they required to maintain the tech permissions list from the previous faction forevermore? Yes, hopefully these people whose exact identity remains an enigma will stop doing the one or two possible things we have no actual proof of. Admin Notice: Faction Statuses Revoked; Warnings for Inactivity - Athenian - 05-30-2011 ' Wrote:Interesting, thanks. You are worried someone will take your toys away? Tech permissions are irreversible unless agreed explicitly otherwise. (It's included in the technology use post now.) This includes situations where factions lose status. For example, if you had permission from someone who then left the game because they were divorcing their wife, revoking that permission would be unfairly punishing you as well, (when clearly it is her and the gardener who are the guilty parties here) If we did that it would mean you could possibly sue her for loss of earnings (if pirate ID), punitive damages (for being such a nag in the first place anyway and letting herself go so much; I mean have you seen her bingo wings?) and mental strain (the uncertainty of knowing whether or not you can still have your Molly guns boo hoo). In short: the Admin team are not available for court appearances in extraterritorial jurisdictions concering damages, real or otherwise, caused by injudicious and imprudent use of garden furniture, seed trays, fertiliser compound, hoses or the potting shed's flimsy and poorly maintained seating. I figured someone would ask, so I might as well. Admin Notice: Faction Statuses Revoked; Warnings for Inactivity - Alley - 05-30-2011 I agree with Athenian, if you have something to say about a faction cheating to keep up its activity or whatever in general, then post the evidence to the admins it's just silly to throw out accusations with no elements. I could blame Athenian for abusing his admin powers but if there is no evidence what difference does it make except the usual disco garbage ? Admin Notice: Faction Statuses Revoked; Warnings for Inactivity - Linkus - 06-02-2011 To be brutally honest, the only real feeling I have for the MC becoming un-official is - eh. Being official really isn't that fantastic. You get to decide whether or not to give tech to white cell folks. You get to recruit on the forums. Pretty much the end. There's not much point in bothering with the Mollys aside from being generic pirates. Their diplomacy is railroaded pretty horrifically at this point and their goal of independence will never, ever..ever ever ever happen, ever. No hint of it even. Not one iota of a chance. Molly's got their independence through shooting right now, they will never get anything more than that for Dublin. |
