If person X cannot be online when the first war..... he'll be on the second i guess. Double fun what an i say :) :P :crazy: New Combat Event. - finius - 03-04-2006 My thought exactly, the idea is a non-serious event that'll just let everyone have some fun outside of the roleplay. Whatever is going on, say a war, it's meant to be a chance for everyone to still be friends, like the British and the Germans playing football in the trenches - christmas 1915. I mean, you could hardly call it a serious event in any way shape or form, dozens of nutters flying around in the worst ship on the game - what more could you want. Carrying on from all of this, and getting back on the topic, seeing as it isnt a roleplay it can happen as many times as people want. It doesnt even have to be organised by me, people can just get together and attack each other in stupidly bad ships. I'm surprised this got as much support as it has done, but it is an incredibly funky idea :P . The starflier has 2 Class-2 hardpoints, and one Class-3 hardpoint, a CM, and a mine. - You can put even a Ripper mine on a Starflier :crazy: Possible weapons All class 3 or lower weapons are: ENERGY WEAPONS: - Justice mk 1,2,3 (1,2,3) - LASER | LIBERTY - Lavablade mk 1,2,3 (1,2,3) - PLASMA | - Starbeam, Adv. Starbeam, Heavy Starbeam (1,2,3) - LASER | CIVILIAN - Stunpulse, Adv. Stunpulse (2,3) - PULSE | - Azrael, Drail (1,3) - LASER | LIBERTY ROGUES - Barrager mk 1 (2) - PHOTON | JUNKERS - Scorpion, Adv. Scorpion (2,3) - PARTICLE |XENO ORDINANCES: - All mines - Javelin missile, Slingshot missile |DAMAGE MISSILES - Stalker missile, Windstalker missile |HOMING MISSILES - Eraser missile |EMP MISSILE - CM dropper, Improved CM dropper, Adv CM dropper |CM Well, funny, but the Xeno particle weapons deal most damage at classes 2,3,5,6 (though i didn`t compare them with chainguns, so i`m not 100% sure at class 6 if they`re the most powerful, but this has no importance hera at our starfliers). Liberty lasers deal a poor damage ( i won`t display everywhere statistics), plasmas deal a fairly good amount of damage and punch well thru the best lvl-3 graviton shields, but consume a lot of power. Civilian lasers deal even worse damage than liberty lasers, and if i`m correct , at the same power requirements - but they`re cool looking yellow especially the extremely weak class 1 Starbeam :crazy: . The pulse weapons are great, but you are going to exhaust one hardpoint. I advice that if you want a pulse weapon, put one Adv. Stunpulse on the third hardpoint ;) Liberty Rogue lasers are fairly good, but i see no reason to mount class 1 Azrael on a class 2 hardpoint, even if it deals a not-so-bad damage. The class 3 Drail deals almost as much damage/second as the class 4 unmountable on a Startflier Vengeance mk 1, but it consumes a lot of power. In my opinion, a pulse weapon would go better on that Class 3 hardpoint. The Junker Barrager mk1 does a great damage, i beleive as good as the Vengeance mk 1 (refire rate 8.33, damage 30 or 31 per shot), but consumes a lot of power. It`s a class 2 weapon. Xeno particle weapons are THE MOST , beleive me THE MOST powerful class 2 and 3 weapons. They obliterate graviton shields, which i think most people will get, and deal a great hull damage , at a respectable rate (4.00). The level 2 Scorpion does 73.4 damage per shot, which means 233.2 damage/ second, an extremely good damage for a level 2 weapon. The Adv. Scorpion deals 89.5 damage/ shot , which means 356 dmg/second. Power requirements are a bit high, but it is worth it, beleive me ;) . I defeated in the storyline that Rheinland fleet in Tau-29 along with Juni and the Outcast Razor guys once in a Startracker with 2 Adv Scorpions and another fine particle bretonian Skyrail ;) . They really give a punch. MISSILES. Well, they are cool, a weird, damage punching mount could be: Scorpion/ Stunpulse / WindStalker Missile. You get the picture. A normal weapons, a pulse and a damage/homing missile. SHIELDS. I think everybody will get a level 2/3 graviton shield, most accessible. ARMOR UPGRADES ....I don`t know, maby no one will use them...
