Story line Notice: Player Driven Event - Dab - 04-19-2012 I guess it's time for Rheinland to invade the enemy aga- wait. Story line Notice: Player Driven Event - Slavik - 04-19-2012 very true, unfortunatly Story line Notice: Player Driven Event - Reverend Del - 04-19-2012 ' Wrote:No one said we're out to help Rheinland;)Big corps can't hide negotiations from news agencies, life just doesn't work like that. Someone in the company is going to leak, or in the government. These things happen. Story line Notice: Player Driven Event - Loken - 04-19-2012 ' Wrote:Then why do we have different laws for same identifications? :DDDDDDDDDDDDDThat point would actually be valid if you hadn't acted like a moron to make it. Of course once it hits the Comms Channel, things begin to filter through. Edit: All these separate threads on the same matter are getting confusing, since it's nearly the same content being covered in all of them, in three different levels of formality. Story line Notice: Player Driven Event - Garrick - 04-19-2012 I don't know all the lore information, for the most part I just have Kruger characters that as a faction died and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. But why wouldn't Rheinland have reverse engineered the tradelanes and DHC possibly be able to work the lanes? Gallia reverse engineered the lanes. Why would Rheinland want the support of any Liberty company except for food stuffs. Rheinland has Repex to do its own shipping. I think in times of war nations aren't bickering over who owes what, that is all settled in the peace talks and reperations. Allowing your enemies companies in your border is a good way for spies to get around and report military weaknesses or build ups. As I said at the beginning, I just shoot rocks under a Kruger ID and thats my two cents. On another note, why does the rheinland government only make deals for DHC mined ore w/ IC and now Agiera and not include Kruger mined ore? Seems like the goverment of Rheinland truly abandoned Kruger. *laughs* Hessians are unemployed miners? Umm.. Maybe I am unemployed and should take up arms too. There's a lot of stuff about the security of gate/lane parts, how it's unbreakable, nothing's ever gone missing etc. It's all locked away and secured afaik, can't just go poking around your lanes to see what's up. Gallia only did it due to the benefit of it being non-vanilla, where literally anything can happen and it's fine. Rheinland has Republican for its shipping. However - Gate/lane stuff, only DSE and Ageira know what's going on there. Medicine? That all comes from Cryer. Also you may have noticed a planet in Stuttgart owned by a Liberty company too. And Interspace is afaik owed grossly huge sums by Rheinland: they need it to keep their budget in semi-respectable shape. Republican can take stuff from A to B, and that's why there's no need for USI in Rheinland. But most of the niche/novelty/specific corps are from Liberty, and everyone needs that stuff. It's not ideal, but it's part of having enormously huge corporations with insane power. It's not that Rheinland wants to support them, it's that it needs what they offer. Don't know the specifics of Rheinland ignoring Kruger, seems like a player thing? They're definitely a 'sunset' corporation, but afaik still getting govt subsidies (if they still happen) and generally approved of by the state and definitely not dead yet. But yeah I'm guessing the Kruger>Hessian jobswitching is pretty high. Seems like the goverment of Rheinland truly abandoned Kruger. This was a deal made between DHC and IC official factions, after we had the deal we requested the bundestag to change the law, that's the reason only DHC was included Story line Notice: Player Driven Event - Petitioner - 04-19-2012 Del, in real life, hackers and terrorists know what the government does. But that's metagaming.:nyam: Jammi, we in ALG tried to set up a merge with Kruger, but we were told to basically **** off by everyone else when we tried to follow our own lore and do something fun. Rheinland, you are supposed to be in as bad of a state as a nation now as Kruger was as a company during vanilla. You ought to practically be owned by Liberty. Synth Foods produces almost all of your food, Interspace Commerce keeps you economically afloat by maintaining your trade lanes and insuring all your ships, and Ageira and DSE supply the prerequisite parts for IC to do such a thing. Not listening to Interspace should completely destroy the country, from what I can see. But of course, pewpewing the Navy to win a war with exactly no logical thought put into even a single aspect of it, and crying about how the Hessians unfairly raid Krupp even though it is just for fun and they clearly can't damage it, is more important and "fair" than following the very basic precepts of your house that were laid out in vanilla. Gee, ain't roleplayin' fun? |
