Subject: Bounty Collected

Content of message:

Within the New York system in between West Point and the New York, Wing Leader S/D-Feral, [CORE]Klaw, and S/D-Menthe engaged several pilots in fighters and one in a gunboat. We were responding to a distress call by local authorities and Feral made the call to engage. Menthe and I were to engage LR-Jack.Banner. Menthe, unfortunately, was destroyed within a few moments of the furball that followed our arrival. I was successful, however, in destroying Jack Banner. Shortly there after I was, myself, destroyed by one LR-Borque-D.

Item 1

Ship i.d. : Lollipop
Cardamine smuggler.
Iten 2

Kills -
Ship i.d. : LR-Jon-Banner
Liberty Rogue - Greyhound Fighter. Assisted Liberty Navy NC|Jester.
Item 3
Item 4

Other information:
New recruits Anke and Menthe and myself took the Sea Serpents out on a test flight. [Core]Klaw.117 joined us at Manhattan.

On patrol we sighted XA-Falcon at Ouray. Me and Klaw have been here before chasing Greerson, so we disabled the platforms and let the new guys take a crack off Falcon. Klaw drew him into a head to head and the new boys done mighty well. Ouray's defenses came back online so we weren't able to finish off the job.

Ran into a real mess in New York when we got called to assist a pretty discourteous Navy feller name of Jester. Anke done us real proud and bagged a Rogue idiot name of Banner. Then we got tangled up with a few of his buddies, some Hacker name o' Royal Fortune flies a wedge of armour bigger'n Houston. We was outgunned and outnumbered but these here light fighters gave a good account of themselves. Reckon we use 'em in future for interference.

Had a computer malfunction in my cockpit that kept me from getting to the Omega sector. It had my nav map scrambled, and the techs finally just had to remove the whole CPU and stick in a blank nav map. I've some back-up data available, but I've lost most access to my system maps, so I'll have to reload those.

Finally made it down to Omega 3 and stopped off at Freeport 1 for a break before I continued on to Rostock in Omega 15. I was sitting in one of the enviro-domes relaxing when a Corsair gunboat going by the name of Florian popped in and started shooting at some civilian transports. Even though I wasn't being paid to take him out, I couldn't just sit there - especially since those were Bretonian transports being attacked.

So I undocked, got in a few licks - I did at least get one Starkiller Torpedo hit on him - and then had the fun and enjoyment of getting picked up by Freeport 1 Search and Rescue. They should have my ship repaired in a few hours, and I'll be relocating down to Rostock - presuming I can find it with my screwed up nav map.

Message reads:

This incident occurred near the Freeport in Omega 3. However much you or I might not like it, the neutrality of the Freeports is to be respected. By all means, defend yourself. But I don't care if a Corsair is eating an entire Luxury Liner full of nuns - avoid actions like this in future.

The Zoners police their bases. You are not employed to do either their work or the work of the Bretonian Admiralty for free. We are not a charitable institution. We are a business.

Correct. You were outside your jurisdiction, taking on a Corsair M26 by yourself. Have you been at the SynthWeed? This Agency can ill-afford to throw away expensive vessels on your vigilantism.

Operative, you show true potential. Actions like this should be the last of your mistakes. I suggest you consult the Handbook again to refresh yourself on our policies.

It might interest you to know that while you are getting long, relaxing foot massages in the Freeports, Agent Alpha was protecting himself (minus his wingman) from the dubious attentions of a Harvester ship in the borderworlds of Rheinland.

When you're done rubbing lavender oil on your toes you might liase with him at Rostock.

You don't EVEN want to know how close I came to sending you a message that at least one of us would have regretted.

I did ask the Outcast to leave the system, and he fired first. Fine. Incident closed.

Did we rescind our Bretonian nationality when we started working for this fine organization? I recall that you were complaining recently about how many expatriates that work here now.

Oh, and I will just mention in passing that it was a pirate the killed MY family, too. Remember MY honor is involved in dealing with these pirate scum. I respect the company and what you and the administration are attempting to do with the professionalism of the ... profession. *cough* Keep in mind we're still human out here.

One other minor detail - if you want us to get to our systems and operating zones, you might want to talk to whoever is programming our computers. I would've been there a HELL of a lot quicker if my starmap was working right. It felt like I was flying the routes twice. Dammit, Jim, I'm a pilot, not a Lane Hacker.

*sound of long drink being taken, followed by breaking glass sounds*

I miss my wife, you know? My children... so precious...

*sobbing*

<different voice>

Hey, cousin, you've had a rough day. You need to get some rest. Those memories won't kill you, but that cheap liquor will. You'll find the bastard that killed them one day, and you'll have your vengeance. Until then, let's get you in bed and ready to fly right later.

What the hell are you doing? Let's get this turned off.

Umm - whoever this is going to, he's had a rough day. I don't know what was said, but my cousin is a good man. He's got a fire and passion in his heart. Sometimes the flame burns too high is all.

I'm not sure why my message counter shows that I sent one off that I don't remember. Anyway...

On station in the Omega sector. S/D Alpha and I met at Rostock. Rostock appears to be the training ground for a lot of Corsairs and Hessians, as we kept running into them. I had a minor blue-on-blue incident with Rostock itself - the Hessian I had targeted with my missile dove behind the station, so the missile hit the station instead. It didn't cause any damage to the station, but they decided that shooting at me was then a good thing.

I had to quickly dock and switch ships, as my wingman was still in trouble. We got those guys all taken care of and had almost started to discuss patrol when 6 more Hessians showed up. I have an issue with the Manta and the battery storage capacity - it's too small at times. I almost had to break off combat because I ran out - target rich environments will do that for you. Fortunately, Alpha had a full load, so when the next Hessian lost his ship to our fire - I got some bats and shields back up.

We used this as practice for wingman combat - if both pilots concentrate on the same target, it's GOING to go down quicker. When it was all said and done, I know I had 10 Hessian and Corsair pilots in my cargo bay to drop off with authorities.

Comm System: OPEN

From: S/D-Anke
Subject: Ambush

On a routine patrol through New York I found myself the vicim of a rather shoddy pirate ambush. While dropping from the trade lane at West Point (coming from Norfolk Shipyard) I was engaged by Lane Hackers and a non-denominational pirate. The two hackers were as follows:

Moerae
Galm-1
Wama
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e248/FeralCr/screen8.jpg

Moerae was piloting the Outcast VHF the Sabre
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e248/FeralCr/screen9.jpg

Galm-1 was piloting a Rogue gunboat (no image available)

Wama was also piloting a Rogue Gunboat
http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e248/FeralCr/screen10.jpg

Needless to say, I did not last too terribly long against these three.

On another note: I witnessed something most disturbing last night. The entirety of the Liberty Navy seemed to be taking a bit of time off. During this time a pirate blockade had entirely sealed the system and was running entirely unchecked. The navy AND police were helpless. It was quite a sight to see and one that I am glad to say I've never witnessed in Rheinland.
