Civilian Explorer - монолит - 07-18-2012 ' Wrote:Due its big size lack of CD and other features that I hope would be implemented like brick handling and 120 Thrust- it wont be possible to use it to attack other ships. Sounds about right. Also, this ship is just :nyam: P.S. It doesn't seem like a heavy gb, more like a corvette. Civilian Explorer - jonfreelanc - 07-19-2012 like many people I at first thought it was an ugly ass box. but now I like it, I think you're on to something with it. I understand the argument for being a gunboat and a transport. With its size, I think it is better off being a transport, as it has more usefulness. who wants a "general" ship for exploring that can be destroyed by gunboats smaller than it or a cruiser larger than it? I think there is more of gap in the whole gunboat/strong general ship class than in the transport area for civilian ships, but if it doesn't have strong combat ability then I think it would be better off in the transport space in terms of sheer gameplay relevance and usefulnes. I like the original length more. I think that added length messes with the lines and style of the ship and makes it more like a capital ship. I like it! nice job! fantastic work! I was looking for something like this and had that bigass miner thing on java and the kusari explorer in mind. but the cargo holds on those vessels are small like I was talking about previously. I think it's a departure from the other civilian ships and that's both a good and a bad thing. would need a decent infocard to match it. If I had any critiques I'd say take away that added length and hold another poll. And also try without changing it too much (textures or fins? or like that) to bring it more in line with the startracker line, the new civilian line, or rheinland ship. once again this is a fantastic job nice work. Civilian Explorer - Corsair - 07-30-2012 Current explorer is an import anyway. I like this model, very civilian-esque. The brick shape only helps its case. It's got my support, if only to clear out the fugly import we have now. Edit: My mistake, it's the Spatial that's the import. The two just look a lot alike. Civilian Explorer - Ipuvaepe - 07-30-2012 ' Wrote:Current explorer is an import anyway. He's talking about the Ahoudori not the Spatial. And OP, the Ahoudori is already a heavy Gunboat (and a good looking heavy gb at that), it does not need to be heavier. Civilian Explorer - Occam Razor - 08-14-2012 Just awesome, i want one! RE: Civilian Explorer - Chev - 10-29-2012 Yeah. We need more stuff like these in Civilian line - research ships and other RPly important stuff. I like it! RE: Civilian Explorer - Croft - 10-29-2012 That's a damned nice bit of kit, I don't suppose you could add some sensor things like the Resheph? RE: Civilian Explorer - Sabre120 - 12-14-2012 Like the initial idea, personally I feel there could be a little more distinction of shape, maybe a few more windows and a distinct bridge, it is an exploration ship after all and visual observations are a vital part of that. RE: Civilian Explorer - Druen78 - 11-16-2013 GRAVEDIG! What happened to this model? I'd totally love to fly it! RE: Civilian Explorer - Tic - 11-16-2013 I sent a few PMs about it, but never got any replies. I guessed it wasn't wanted, so I dropped the idea. I still got the model somewhere though. |
